I check questions about once a month or so and make replies then.
Many are very repetitive and there is only so much good advice you can give a person that have not seen and examined. I try to give them the basics and get them to see a doc.
no matter how detailed your advice is, it’s kind of useless unless you examine someone. It’s a lot of speculation and such. Years ago when Dave approached me about this, he wanted someone to tell someone to go see a doctor in a nutshell.
With still giving some good info to help steer them in a certain direction. Short circuiting the running around forever and not getting answers that make sense.
You can tell so much more stuff by just seeing someone than you can ever get from reading a question online, so matter how detailed they write.

There is another reason why some people leave: They get tired of having the same discussions over and over again. One can only read so many threads started by 16-year olds asking what supps to take in order to get mad ripped. At some point I was seriously wondering if I was Bill Murray.
I get what I need from T-Nation by reading the articles; although there are many great people on the forums, I don’t have time to wade through the crap in order to get to them. Sad (cos I do miss some of you guys), but true.

Yea, I come and I go, sometimes life gets busy and I just don’t have any spare time for the nation. I always got a soft spot in my heart for the forum shenanagins though. Besides golf and darts it is my third favorite hobby.
P.S. Don’t mind Lanky, we let him out to play every now and again, he really is quite harmless. Just don’t wave any penis like objects around if he is out, he goes crazy over them. We still can’t figure out why, but he takes them two at a time and shoves them in his mouth and starts doing a little happy dance. Trying to get them away from him is when things get a little scary. On second thought, I would just avoid him alltogether.

It has fed my ego for quite some time. Heck I have even caught myself in real life when arguing with my friends. I’ll be like, hey you know who I am right? I CREATED AWT! and then I’ll realize that they have no idea what i’m talking about so I have to do one of those embarrasing just kidding things where they know your not kidding but just humor you to make the uncomfortable go away. It’s been a blessing and a curse. I really miss the old days when I could post 20 pictures a day though. I still think I have it but there is no way I can do that while at my current job and I don’t really spend that much free time on the computer so… Maybe some day I’ll ressurect my picture posting. For now, all you get is someone who is barely funny, somewhat sarcastic, and potentially retarded most of the time.
