Uncle Henry’s is a permanent fixture in my house How else will I get m’hubcaps for m’dooryahd??
It’s also good for following personal drama. “Looking to trade diamond engagement ring and band for Polaris 800…” You know she was a bitch if she wouldn’t let him have a snowmobile.

ok…so you wasn’t just ignoring me then?..lol. I sent it again.
You know she was a bitch if she wouldn’t let him have a snowmobile.
Yesssssss…the ultimate bitch litmus test.
I was making fun of the dude and now you’re making fun of me?!
Only if you were doing the snowmobile withholding. I’d cut you some slack, however, due to your ethereal skin and my fondness for it.
I can’t imagine any chick from Maine withholding snowmobiles. Plus, they’re a required lawn ornament. Steely has probably seen the blurb “125 Uses For Your Snowmobile: Help You Justify Spending All That Money!” Was in a Waterville paper one snowless winter.
I worked at Mt. Abram for a while and it was quite amusing to learn the amount of ACB being consumed on the chairlift. I think they could probably stay in the black if they just sold Coffee Brandy next to the hot chocolate machine.

NO matter that we had the largest ice storm in 10 years this weekend-- the riff-raff was out in droves causing disturbances and verbally terrorizing the folks. MASS-holes up here operating vehicles without licences!

Yes, I thought about you today when I heard this! Glad you and your family are alright.
Just wondering something…have the number of “incidents” in your area gone up since you moved there? Not that I’m implying anything because you know that I would never do that.
Hey thanks! How 'bout you? Did the storm creep up that far northeast? Electric was out for a few hours, but I fired up the fireplace. Now I’m in the market for an insert-- have to check out Uncle Henry’s
Yes, since I came to the north country, it’s all gone to Hell…
From Maine State Police:
Speeders of the week include a couple racing each other on the Interstate in Clinton. The man and woman, driving separate cars, were trying to determine which vehicle was faster. She was clocked at 106 MPH, and he at 107 MPH. He won, but both were arrested.
Other News from the State Police this Week:
Yesterday, Trooper Marvin Hinkley stopped a car on Interstate 295 in Freeport at 99 MPH. The 20 year old driver told him he was speeding, with his four-way flashers on, because he was late getting to the methadone clinic. The young driver missed that appointment.
State Police in greater Bangor have had to contend with two cases of confused wrong-way elderly drivers in recent weeks. A woman drove her car 13 miles on Interstate 95 in the wrong lane before police could get her to pull over. Troopers had shut down traffic on the Interstate to avoid putting other motorists at risk.
Last week, a 78 year old man on oxygen drove his car the wrong way on the Stillwater Ave. exit in Bangor and collided with a second car on the Interstate. The other driver walked away from the head-on crash. The elderly man, whose license has been taken away for medical reasons, was injured in the crash.
Last week?s shooting death in Belfast is the 30th homicide of the year ? the highest number since 1989 when 40 people were killed in the deadliest year for homicides in Maine history. State and Belfast police continue to investigate the circumstances under which James Cummings was shot by his wife, Amber, in the couple?s home. Of this year?s 30 homicides, 18 have been domestic related.
Note: That’s 30 homicides in the whole state for the year
Montana is quite the hotbed of unrest that Maine is, but here’s a highlight of what made the police report in NW Montana this weekend:
An Evergreen resident called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office Friday night to report an attempted burglary. Turns out the banging at the back door was the wind blowing the dog door.
…
Children riding their bikes in the middle of an icy intersection Friday night were told to move along.

A man’s former roommate reportedly gave his guitar to his ex-girlfriend’s mother, who refused to return the instrument unless the man gave her $100. Officers counseled them both, and the woman agreed to return the guitar.
…
An officer informed snowmobilers riding on Eight Avenue West [Kalispell] that their sleds weren’t allowed on city streets.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) - A black bear that was part of a University of New Hampshire study aimed at teaching people about learning to live with bears was shot and killed by Nottingham police after trying to break into a woman’s home.
Police say the woman called 9-11 after the bear peered inside her home. Police found the bear had also broken a window.
It is New Hampshire Fish and Game policy that bears considered a nuisance can be destroyed.
UNH professor Peter Pekins said he had hoped to catch up to five bears in the Durham area this summer as part of his study on their habitat, but the shot bear was the only one tagged with a radio collar.
Fish and Game director Glenn Normandeau said his department will review its policy.
Keep in mind, I live 2 hrs from Portsmouth, NH (borders Maine). This is ‘local’ news. And BIG news …
