Little History... Dangerous Thing-Harry Browne

Tossing one liners about pots and kettles, raising the topics of age and experience level, and facetiously claiming “pity” in order to avoid the subject of debate are all perfect examples of this type of ignorance.

Al, feelings of sorrow for you are true. I do not expect you to understand because in your current condition you are incapable of understanding.

I just hope that one day you will wake up and see the light.

I dont usually post, but just wanted to say:

Al, I disagree with every “arguement” you’ve made; but I am proud to serve with America’s finest soldiers protecting Our Country and way of life. Even if that way of life includes your right to speak poorly of this country. Continue to use and abuse this Privilege (it is a privilege not really a right) knowing that I am here protecting you and your “Rights”. Sleep well.

You can’t seem to stay on topic or hold an academic position for longer than a sentence. I’ll reply to you when you manage to produce some examples of the vaunted “plentiful SUCCESSFUL counter-arguments”.

I leave for Army basic training June 23rd, and I have said negative things about the U.S. in this thread. Is it wrong to point out the mistakes the U.S. has made in the past?

JeffR,

I’m through responding to you in this thread. I called Stalin an isolationist because I have seen historians label him as such and I agreed with their premise.

Why did you have to call me a moron? Can you debate without acting like 12 year old?

Dustin

diesel’s a professor?
(academic position)…well, guess so, he has taken your scrawny ass to school once or twice. Not in the way you’d like it though…

Dustin-

Good luck and stay safe. You are in for a great experience and important work.

FYI-if that is a picture of sjconn he is a special forces operator. The beard is a give away. Respect what he says. It is guys like him and your seargents that will keep you alive.

Good Luck.

Actually, boy, I commented exclusively on your post and you said something in response. On topic, and eliciting a reply. Oh, and that’s 2 sentences. Oops.

I think I said exactly what I wanted to say. That’s why you’re only highlighting the part of my post that isn’t solely dependent on my own words. Clearly I don’t intend to hold an academic position as that is left to others who are doing fine at it; I only observe with car-wreck fascination and pelt you with the refuse of your own fallacy as you so richly deserve. What good would my pulling up other people’s arguments do if you have already deluded away from them? Reread and feel ashamed on your own time.

And by pretending otherwise, you prove my post true. Oh look, you indeed are a rotting rat carcass superglued to the floor of our home. Time to cut the carpet out.

P.S. This is off-topic: My armpits’ smell is stronger than you.

Congrats on making a decision to serve your country. It is a great experience and whether you enjoy it or not, you will be better for it. You are about to join the company of men who are by and large a patriotic bunch. And as your career progresses you will find the better trained they are the more patriotic they are.

Its not a crime to believe your country has made mistakes in the past. Believe what you will. I dont share your belief in this case, but hold nothing against you for having it.

I was wondering if you and Al weren’t the same person? If not, it’s an eerie similarity of styles, outlooks and locations…

Wow, a 2 year old thread. How on earth did you remember the Ron Paul reference?

Search engine, or…what BB said?

I wonder if Al Shades still thinks he is immortal.

I’m going to take credit for calling that one… what, a year ago?

I missed that, so I’ll claim an independent discovery but happily give you credit.

I’ve been thinking that for quite awhile as well, but didn’t necessarily want to read any more posts about .784958 bananas… =-)

I’m ready to continue this discussion.

Is that an admission?

That is how I read it.

“By Popular Request Reloaded”, anyone? Those dumbbell squats must be showing by now…
