While I expect no one to listen to me, overall health wise I have never felt better since eliminating animal products from my diet. Seeing as my goals aren’t as lofty as most here, I would certainly never advise a near vegetarian diet but I will say that I feel it would be beneficial to eliminate meat when other options are available. At least for a trial period of a month or so to see how the body reacts, I can guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised.
We are omnivores. The healthiest natural diet includes meat.
gorillas are the closest gene wise to us, yet they don’t eat meat at all. and they are among the most muscular strongest creatures on the planet. (on land)

Since Gorillas are not the closest to Humans gene-wise (that distinction goes to Chimps or Oranguatans), your entire premise is meaningless.
Yeah, but chimps would never eat meat.

Not true, chimpanzees are omnivorous

Hey guys, according to the article, we can probably eat one egg a day and not die immediately! Yesssssss.
I’ve been putting 2-4 raw eggs into shakes every morning for years, yolk and everything. Literally thousands of them. So many that I got my own chickens last year just to save money on them. People are always amazed that I’ve never had salmonella poisoning.
I have a friend who’s been eating his chicken breasts cooked medium/medium-well for years… He’s never had salmonella poisoning, either.

Weird.
That’s nothing! I throw the whole fucking chicken into the blender! Along with live squirrels that I capture in an elaborate trap in my backyard. Protein…mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…

No they aren’t. Chimps are closer, and they are also omnivores.

Sounds a little nutty.

I’m waiting for a vegetarian to post a picture of Bill Pearl as proof that a muscular physique can be attained without meat.

Before doing so, please note his dietary history and the fact that the majority of his titles were won while eating copious amounts of meat. Thank you.

Man, what an epic failure of a first post.

well, enjoy eating meat now. cause within id say 25 years the killing of any animal, for food or not will be illegal. Mark my words. hunting in any form, will be illegal. animal rights groups are getting larger by the day and more powerful. the days of killing animals, will be at an end, someday. its been proven by tons of studies, that meat is extremely unhealthy for you. But the day will come, when meat will no longer be in supermarkets. its only a matter of time.

Then we’ll just have to start killing and eating activists…

The very best diet is a mix in meat and fruits/vegetables

Who is the best vampire on T-Nation

CT. Rockula or our 400 years from another time lover.

Count Rockula, hands down. Not even close. Better sense of humor (actually, just having a sense of humor at all puts him one up on the GrapeApe), way weirder, he’s already dead and he’s my business partner at RAPEAXE!!! Enterprises.

Chimps are the closest, actually. And they are avid meat eaters. In fact, they are cannibals.
well, would you rather look like a chimp or a silver back gorilla. I rest my case. they don’t eat meat at all.
The long, lean, functional muscle of a Chimp vs. the fat Gorilla? Let’s look at the real-world characteristics of each. Gorillas: fat, slow, nearly extinct. Chimps: lithe, quick, and a much larger population. Guess who gets more ass? Maybe it’s the long, lean, functional muscle which leads to the Chimps having an average life span of 45 years to the Gorillas 30 years.

You don’t know shit. And yes, I am feeding the troll.

The NRA is one of the largest single lobbyist groups in Washington, D.C. Single issue/ideological lobbying in general, which includes animal rights lobbyists, only accounts for something like 6% of all lobbying expenditures in Washington, D.C. The NRA would be the largest single group in opposition to banning hunting/eating animals, and they are bigger than any lobbying group that is actually working toward ending all eating and hunting of animals. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were as big as all animal rights groups put together.

Also, lobbying expenditures in general have dropped significantly for several years in a row. I doubt that these fictional lobbying groups you’re talking about are actually growing in power, scope and size while the lobbying industry in general is shrinking, and your particular interest group isn’t even close to approaching the power that its main opponent has to begin with.
