Lab ranges are managed with statistical normal curves that capture 95-97.5% of the sample population. If you fall into that, idiot doctors think that that is a normal state of health and that is absolutely false.

The amount of ignorance in your perception of how doctors interpret labs is astounding. While there are certainly idiot doctors out there, I would question your frequent implications that a majority of doctors are incompetent. Your doctor not telling you what you want to hear does not constitute a state of idiocy.
I find your anti-medical rhetoric, as well as many of the specific practices you advocate (which I won’t go into, as I don’t give medical advice online), to be dangerous and potentially damaging to the standard of care of others.[/quote]
In the TRT forum we see doctors doing and saying stupid things all of the time. So they are idiots in the context of TRT. We have a thread dedicated to that. If doctors were doing a great job, no one would be coming to the TRT thread. Most of those that do need advice from someone other than their doctor. Whats wrong with medical advice; they still need to get a Rx from their doctor or find a new doctor. Doctors are the biggest problem. I am willing to stand up to all challenges of my statements and positions. The T-Nation TRT thread is the best on the planet, go have a look.

Doctors are just like any other profession - there are good ones and there are bad ones. Not all Doctors are idiots with respect to TRT. Some certainly are, but others are not. A patient certainly needs to be educated and advocate for themselves, but this is true of any medical field, and indeed any situation. If you just do what you are told, you are an idiot.
My GP tested my T-Levels over a year ago and since I was 302 he pronounced me within the normal range, in spite of the fact that my cognitive function was diminishing, I was depressed, had diminished libido, etc…, all classic symptoms of Low T.
I went to a clinic a few weeks later and was tested in the afternoon and my T was 170 and I started TRT that day. My GP was ignorant of the fact that symptoms outweigh the T level, that 302 in the morning was a peak, that my life was miserable. That doesn’t make him a bad GP, just a bad source for TRT information.
I think part of the problem is you have many different specialists dabbling in the TRT field, Urologists, Endocrinologists, and others. My brother in law gets TRT from a Plastic Surgeon for god’s sake, before that, it was his cardiologist, and they’re jacking him up at 200mg of Test per week with no blood tests. Crazy shit.
So, you have to be informed.
