I’ve been lifting now for the last 12 years natural but i’m ready to make the jump into bodybuilding for real. Just to give everyone some stats, I began lifting at 16, started seriously lifting after high school @ 5’11" 164lbs. Now I’m 29 5’11’ 254lbs and I’m looking to hopefully make it to the “O” one day. I know everyone says to wait before starting a first cycle but I’ve already got my two kids and I’m married so I don’t plan on having any more children. I figure now is the time for me to get started and take the next step. Any advice on where to start is greatly appreciated.
If you’re dead set on using gear, head on over to the pharma subforum and ask questions there. Do you have a picture of your physique? 5’11 254 could either be fucking massive or obese, and you do not want to mess around with gear until you have a fairly low BF%.
everything flappinit said, lol. a few photos of your physique (you can blur your face for anonymity) would be very helpful.
And I would highly recommend doing research first, rather than asking such a vague question like you have here. If you go into the pharma section and say ‘I want to do steroids, tell me what I should do’, you won’t get a favorable response, because you haven’t put in the time you should have to understand what you’re getting into. There are LOADS of threads on here about beginner cycles. Read a lot, propose a cycle, post some pictures, and we can go from there.
I wish it was, but this has always been the goal. I’d always heard that I should go as hard and try to do all I can to reach my natural limit first. So I’ve essentially been doing a lean bulk since I graduated high school. Now I’m doing a cut and by time the new year rolls around, I’d like to get started then.
I am glad to see that you have set goals that high, unfortunately i cant help you with your questions since i dont have much experience. What i want to ask is,what division you want to compete in?
I haven’t maxed out but here are some of my strength numbers.
I bench 250lb for 4-5 sets of 5 reps
I squat 275 for 4-5 sets of about 8-10 reps although I have a leg injury right now unfortunately.
I deadlift 275 for 5-6 sets of 6 reps
Dumbbell row 100 lbs bc thats the heaviest my gym has
Bicep curl 80+ lbs on my weakest days
I’ve done a good bit of research over the years. The cycle I’m favoring right now is as follows
Wk 1-12 Test Enan 300 2x a week
Wk 1-12 Arimidex .5mg eod
Wk 1-12 HCG 250 2x a week
Sprinkle in some NAC for liver protection 600mg a week
That is where I was at but I slipped a disc in my back and also had a quad tear in 2015. It’s taken me everything just to get back to hear, before that I was repping 405 like nobody’s business
