These days I record stuff and turn it into virtual musical instruments. Today I’m working on a vocal singing in the reconstructed Proto-Indo-European language.

Gardening, too, it’s berry season right now and later I’ll have cherries, apples and grapes.

And zymurgy. Used to make beer about 20 years ago, now I’ll do some cider or wine because see above. I tried distilling once a couple of years back, but ended up making one liter of about 70% spirits and breaking an old glass heat exchanger my dad used to make moonshine in the 80s, so that was that. But I realized that making vinegar is easy, so I’ve been doing that for the past few years. I make all the vinegar I need and give some more away to friends.

You win a prize for the most unique and varied hobbies I’ve ever heard of! I had to look up zymurgy and felt dumb because I could’ve used context clues. LOL. Seriously though, what you’re doing with vinegar sounds absolutely amazing and so does your singing and gardening!

have put a lot of effort into historical research, and the creation of military simulations.

That’s a LOT of focused work. I’m impressed! Do you ever plan to share your simulations via YouTube or in person? I always wonder about how certain historical battles actually went down – Hollywood’s version of warfare kinda seems to glamorize everything.
