It was too warm for skiing and risky for injuries⌠After pretty spectacular fall where I fell and was then going down the steep slope for circa 50 meters at high speed one ski and pole were few ten of meters above me and other few meters below me. Luckily the slope was empty so I did not hit anyone. When I stopped few skiers came to me and were surprised that I managed to get up. I even skied for the rest of day, however about one hour after skiing I started to feel pain in my knee so I had to go to hospital day after. They told me that based on my fall I was incredibly lucky that I just hurt my knee and the injury is not that bad at all.
I especially like the 3rd one.
You should definitely see if you can get your designs manufactured. You have talent here.
Yeah, she can start her own clothing line and then make some lots of green.
haha, starting clothing lines are one of the worst ways to make money
Donât knock it til you try it.
I mention snowshoeing a lot. Generally we drive 5 minutes to the woods because the dog prefers it, but yesterdayâs storm made that unwise. So here is our 'hood, where I both lift and not-lift, depending.
Last week was fools spring. Today were shoveling a foot of snow with an inch of ice on top. Fun and nice to look at, but Iâm over it by this time of year.
It would appear that you DO. ![]()
I cheat and only shovel one car length at the top of the driveway. The rest of the yard can fend for itself.
Got out for a nice flight to a new airport. Been a while since I have flown by myself, it was so quiet and the plane climbed like a bat out of hell.
You have to be careful too,
shoveling snow is a leading cause of fatal heart attacks
Is this a joke or actually true? Iâve never really dealt with enough snow to think about shoveling lol
I would never joke about thatâŚi knew two men in their 50s, found dead shoveling snow from their front sidewalksâŚthis was back in the late 70s
No kidding? I never would have guessed. Interesting. Thanks for the article!
Itâs funny that itâs an article from Dallas, where there is enough snow to shovel maybe once every 100 years.
But yes, @fitafter40 is right. Iâm in âthe snow beltâ and there are PSAâs every year. I generally donât move more than three shovels full before I have to take off my jacket. Itâs a lot of work.
Yep. Thats how my old wrestling coach went. Strong guy, in good shape.
Iâm pretty careful about it, though Iâve
been warned by the proâs, and my driveway is short and downhill.
