Libido and Erections on TRT

28 y/o male. Just started TRT through a clinic 4 weeks ago. 100mg test cyp twice a week. I also take HCG twice a week with my test for fertility. I want kids. The first two weeks everything was amazing. Never had so much libido and my erections were rock hard. Couldn’t keep it down. Then after the first two weeks it all flipped a switch fast. Erections died and started losing sensitivity down there. Prescribed me Anastrozole but only if needed. Haven’t taken it yet.

My doc told me to lower my test dose down cuz of high estradiol possibly. Trying to get my blood work done to see. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Should I stay on the lower dose and see? Or stay on the same dose and start the AI?

Why? You’re 28. Are you secondary or primary?

This is certainly a high starting dose and more than most need. There are fertility protocols without running HCG when you don’t need fertility FYI.

Everybody can guess but nobody will know until you post lab work. If its been 4 weeks thats early for lab work but long enough since you are having problems to get it done.

My advice. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING until you get lab work done. If you start fucking around with doses and AIs before you get labwork then you won’t know what the cause is. Get the labs on your current protocol. Then adjust that protocol based on lab work. Yes you will have to deal with your libido issues for a couple more weeks while labs reports are int he works etc. Dialing in TRT, assuming you need it, is a long game taking 6-12 months for many men.

You felt amazing originally bc your body was still producing test and the associated hormones in the correct levels. You just added some test which amplified things.

Now, a few weeks later, your body is trying to recalibrate. You’ve lost libido, etc.

Your thread is a dime a dozen here.

I’ll say, way to aggressive for your first TRT protocol.

The AI is should only be an option once you have exhausted all types of protocol, dosing and or shot frequency adjustments.

Your mindset should be, I don’t want to take a drug if I don’t have to. The AI’s are the stuff of nightmares for some men.
