Liberty Control

Well, I knew Hitler was against me…

But surely this doesn’t mean that I’m on the same side with you, Lorisco…?

Nah, I’m just kidding. Welcome aboard, man.

Nice avatar.

Yes, we should take advice from Hitler, as he is the pillar of virtue and humanity.

I don’t actually own a gun, but have no problems with people that do. Everyone has the right to protect themselves and their property. If that is taken aware we move from being citizens to subjects.

And that, Lorisco, is the probably the wisest thing I have ever seen you write. I know that’s a back-handed compliment, but we can’t make too brisk a departure from our lively exchange last Kwanzaa, now can we?

Actually, Col. Jeff Cooper, the gunner’s guru, said something remarkably similar:

“Personal weapons are what raised mankind out of the mud, and the rifle is the queen of personal weapons… Pick up a rifle—a really good rifle —and if you know how to use it well, you change instantly from a mouse to a man, from a peon to a caballero, and—most significantly —from a subject to a citizen.”

You’re all right, Lorisco. You may have a few strange ideas regarding sex, but you’re all right nonetheless

Just because I disagreed with you about Kwanzaa, doesn’t mean you don’t have some good things to say on other topics. Glad to see that you don’t follow the PC crowd on everything. There is hope for you yet:)

HAHAHAHAHA!

Well, that makes me feel better. Oh, my god, the only thing the acronym “PC” means to me is “Perfect Cunnilingus”. All other meanings are null and void in the Varqanir universe.

Just for a laugh, go back to that thread sometime and try to find anything that suggests that I was pro-Kwanzaa in my arguments. Sometimes I like to play devil’s advocate if it means I get to hurl insults. No hard feelings.

But seriously, I never follow the “PC crowd” on any issue.

In fact, I think I’d probably rather eat a shit corndog.

Unfortunately, there are many on this site that have the political version of “PC” tattooed on their forehead. But I confess, I like your version better!

To be honest with you, I don’t really care about Kwanzaa. I was more fighting the PC notion of it than anything. I just hate people who go along with stuff just because other people say it’s cool or right.

So you have all these dorks defending it who don’t know anything about it just because everyone else thinks it’s good. That is why I was getting in your face about it; because I thought you were just going along with the crowd.

That is also why many people here dislike me; because I always go against the flow just to get people to think for themselves. Looks like you know what I’m talking about.

What do you know; two PC Ronin going at it and not even knowing it!

Yeah, kind of scary. You and I are more alike than I would normally be comfortable admitting.

Just don’t let Sabrina find out. She’d never forgive me.

Eww. If Kliplemet were here I’m sure he’d find this whole conversation “vaguely homosexual”.

Let’s stick to talking about guns and fighting for liberty and other manly things like that.

vaguely?

Ha! Hey, Vroom.

You must understand, Lorisco and I coming to an understanding like this is sort of tantamount to you and Rainjack coming to terms. On any goddamn subject at all. I’m sorry to say that I had somewhat underestimated our friend Lorisco up until now, as I suspect he did me. So what you walked in on was nothing more than a brisk, manly, totally heterosexual handshake between two unlikely new friends.

But hey, if you want to go find RJ, ZEB and Dan Fouts we can all have a nice big group hug. ;p

Bro, male bonding is not gay. Swapping spit with a guy or getting a chubby while thinking about a guy, that is gay. But coming to an understanding after slugging it out is as un-gay as it gets.

As for Sabrina, just tell her to send me a picture of her naked and then all is forgiven!

Now let’s go shoot something damit!

Ha! In your wildest dreams, pal.

I can see it now: “darling, give me a nude picture of yourself, will you? It’s for Lorisco!”

She would pull out a 44 Magnum and shoot you and me both, I guarantee.

Here in Europe it is rather complicated to obtain a Handgun. And where are no guns, no one can be shot. It is that simple.

In the US of A every moron can get a gun, so it seems you just have to get one yourself to feel kinda safe.

Oh sure, there are european gangsters with pistols, but I guess for every armed criminal here you have thirty in the States.

Here in Germany, we’ve had one whacko going postal in his highschool. He was shooting around heavily armed, killing himself in the end. That was around 2002.

It was a totally new situation, so everyone found this very disturbing and the question was raised, if we had to make the law even more strict to prevent gun abuse.

The thing is: In America, people are so gun-crazy, they demand the opposite, saying, an armed determined teacher could have ended this quick.

This is where I see the difference - On the one side are people like Mr. Zap, who believe that everyone should aim at each other’s head, ensuring a nice society through fear of retribution.

On the other hand … how about just having a nice society without guns?

Apart from this, I’m just like every guy, meaning I find guns way cool.

Well, I think that the issue of gun control should be decided on the basis of cultures. Some cultures can handle them, some can’t. Looking at the history of the German people, they should be kept far away from both guns and persuasive speakers, especially if said speakers have little mustaches. Ya know, the Germans really shouldn’t be trusted with ovens either… Anyway, I guess what I’m saying Schwarzfahrer, is that i completely agree with Germany’s tough gun laws. They’re a good idea for Germany.

Man, do you have a carry permit for that rapier wit of yours? That is one deadly weapon.

You are truly the Chuck Norris of Internet commentary.

Ya, I think Hitler agreed with their current guns laws as well.

He would have agreed with the US 1968 Gun Control Act as well, considering that he wrote it.

Maybe the German people could have done something about Hitler and avoided a world war if they had the means to protect themselves as citizens instead of being sheep (subjects)?

Oh, clearly, because a bunch of armed citizens can overtake a military regime.

A disarmed people is an opressed people.

Don’t try, my dear good danmaftei, these folks don’t know reason.

They really believe that guns help against terrorists, against an evil regime and against highschool madmen.

Try not to upset them too hard, we already have enough angry and armed extremists on the world.

Why Schwarz, I am surprised at you. Angry and armed extremist who don’t know reason, are we?

I assume you are being sarcastic, like Mr. danmaftei. Surely the mutually respectful rapport we had developed before Christmas last year has not gone the way of the Third Reich?

No matter. Oh, by the way…did your Swiss friends ever tell you that joke?
