Awesome, inability to do basic Bible exegesis.
But an awesome ability to go straight to the source.

A method that I highly recommend.

You can always listen to the spin later.
Stop trolling.

Trolling?

There have been pretty absurd apologetics on abhorrent passages. You yourself have rationalized the slavery passages.
Yes, quit trolling. Nobody seriously believes homosexuality-is-not-a-sin-in-the-bible is anything but a recent bit of wishful thinking. It’s a sin in both the old and new testament. Further, it’s outside of the institution of marriage, defined as man and woman. So, always a sin. The next person that repeats this gets ignored for trolling.
I didn’t realize he was referring to homosexuality. I thought he was referring to spin on questionable passages in general.
No this time its just general gayness, which in the OT is frowned upon.

In the NT however all we know is that something happened in some proto Christian community which seemed to gave involved gay sex.

We do neither known exactly what happened, nor the context of what happened.

Leviticus is quite clear though, as it is on other things.

To conflate the two means painting with a rather broad brush.

So anyone want to defend this?

Beating up kids?

Theologically I find it fascinating that he can “give dispensations” before the fact.

In fact, he just flat out declared it a sin to do that, because otherwise, why the dispensation and said they should do so anyway because he declared it to be okay beforehand.

If he was Catholic he would be whisked away by Jesuit ninjas to reacquaint him with his faith.

One good thing that might come of that, is those kids using violence against their parents when they get older.

If it was a few Churches I wouldn’t think it was that big of a deal but I could also see in some conservative town all the churches siding together to collectively not allow gay marriages on their property. Could a group of churches or businesses legally do the same thing with non-whites?
It still doesn’t matter, a church is still just a building (pic related a church converted to a club). A wedding does not require a religious connotation, you can get married in a non-church building.

You don’t need a priest either, just a marriage officiant:

Marriage is not a religious institution.

Churches seem like they would have the potential to make great clubs.
