'Legend of Conan' to be a Sequel

Old Terminator doesn’t make any sense. How do you get an old robot?
It’s way more annoying that Terminator II left NO POSSIBLE OPENING FOR A SEQUEL!

I don’t want Yogi to be right. Hopefully this will not be a CGI, Greenscreen, bullshit movie.
you stepping to me, bro? Want to make something of it?

Would you guys watch a “They Live” sequel if it had Roddy Piper?
watch - yes, enjoy - probably not.

Oh no, no offense intended, I just used your name to make myself feel more personally involved in the conversation.

As you mentioned, remakes and even sequels are usually shitey. I just hope this movie is some how an exception.

I also want Clunk to be wrong. Again, nothing personal, I’m just not ready to lose Arnold.

Good point about watching, but not enjoying The Live 2.

I’m going to watch this Conan sequel no matter what. Maybe I’m subconsciously pep talking myself into loving it before I’ve seen it, so I can enjoy it when I see it, even if it does suck.

Maybe I’m just going to watch this movie because I subconsciously want Arnold’s approval?

Nards would.

I want me to be wrong too! It was just a weird feeling.

Is John Milius directing? No?

Is John Milius writing at least? No?

into the trash it goes.

If left wing pansies in Hollywood hadn’t tried to get Milius out of work just for wearing his politics on his sleeve, we would probably have a conan remake that doesn’t suck. Like most mad geniuses, unappreciated in his time.

I think Harrison Ford has very smartly grown into the playing of older characters. He actually has acting chops. With Arnold, let’s face it, we didn’t love the original because of his deep emotional portrayal of our favorite cimmerian.

Speak for your self, sir!

But seriously, there is a group of people that analyze the Conan cannon in minutia. I stumbled onto a podcast a few months ago where they went in depth about how philosophical the original was and how it was a statement on the human condition in modern life. They also felt that Conan the Destroyer was utter crap, but Red Sonya was passable.
Have you got a link to this podcast? I’d like to hear it, because I still can’t delineate accurately why the original Conan feels so unique.

Its the “Start the World” podcast. Jack Donovan is one of those pro-Alpha dudes with all sorts of weirdness but the conan and the another on the “Wolves of Vinland” biker pagan mens group podcasts were pretty interesting.

Milius is a horrid director.

Since he died at the end it would be tough.

I of course think The Rock would do fine in a remake.

haha, sorry, bad example.

Would the Rock be all out of bubble gum, or would he have his own line in the bank?

While we’re coming up with movies we want to see;

Blood Sport 2: The Legend of Frank Dux
Jean-Claude and Bolo Yeung are both in it.

The Rock’s thought process goes like this:

 1. Kick ass
 2. Return to 1.

There’s no assuaging of the ass kicking with bubblegum.
