Least Harmful Alcohol

My suggestion from my own personal experience won’t help, as I get rather intoxicated every Saturday night on an abundance of wine… I highly doubt as a guy you’ll be caught dead with a class of Riesling at the bar!

However, my philosophy is this… drink the most potent booze you can handle that will get you inebriated with the least amount of consumption. I’d rather do 5 shots of Hennessy (gag) and not know my name for the small price of 350 total calories give or take (65 cals per 1 oz. shot at 40% alcohol) than waste even more calories per Bud light (110 cals per 12 oz. bottle at 3.88% alcohol) and have to drink an entire 12 pack to feel a hearty buzz. Figure out what gives you the most bang for your buck! [/quote]

I like your thinking. Everclear it is.

It kind of depends on what your goals are. Must you get drunk?

If so, the go with Everclear (if it’s legal in your state) and dilute it with a lot of water or some flavored drink like crystal light.

If you just don’t want to look like a loser, just hold a beer can at your side and sip from it from time to time. Don’t to drinking games.

If you’re not insecure and don’t mind standing out a little, just say you’ve given up alcohol. Most people respect it if you are lots of fun anyway.

I recall reading one of Dr. Andrew Weil’s books discussing alcohol and he mentioned that clear alcohols like vodka and saki are much cleaner then darker alcohols like gin or bourbon. Personally I have no evidence of this but it works to my advantage bc diet and goose gets the kid loose. Also try to drink a glass of water between every drink and you should wake up feeling considerably better. Yes you will have to piss alot but then you’re more likely to run into just about every girl in the place bc they are always in the bathroom.

The rule with alcohol so I have heard is the lighter in color it is, the lighter in calories it is. Vodka w/ club soda and splash of sour, or diet soda does the trick!
