Thank you! I got people DMing me for help; also for weird shit too! ![]()
@BrickHead Been reading through your prep. Awesome stuff.
-
What have you been up to since training wise?
-
What about on the business/coaching side?
Just three training days per week very early in the morning and brisk walking for cardio four to five times per week. I am doing the bare minimum to be healthy and in shape.
Iām only helping a few people at a time right now. My increased commute time, buying a home this past spring, and my son have greatly changed how I spend my time. I even would like to be on here more, but I canāt⦠for now at least.
I might elaborate tomorrow a bit.
Even though this thread is years old, I just wanted to congratulate @BrickHead - I refer to him as Brad in my head thatās the way the journey of reading this thread has gone! - on achieving his boyhood dream of not only competing on a bodybuilding stage but for absolutely smashing it out of the park! This thread has been very motivating as I slave away in the kitchen prepping for a few shows next year. I competed in my first show in 2016 and I shared all the excitement in the build up to both of our shows but I feel my prep was a walk in the park opposed to yours haha! Hope all is well with you and the family man and you are fully healed from your injuries and can lift pain-free.
Thank you for the thoughtful post! Iām glad you like the thread.
The family is good. My second child came around this past August.
My body is alright now.
Again, thanks! ![]()
Good luck with your shows.
Not sure if I ever posted this picture. Someone found it for me long after my show. The guy in first place looks even more amazing now!

It can be crazy to look back and those and think of what you had to do to get there. I think we both have two kids now and that just seems like another lifetime.
Exactly! It would be unfeasible now!
Also grounds for divorce. Lol.
Ha, yes. Very much so
Hence so many former competitorsā lament about it being a selfish sport.

@BrickHead Incredible journey; thank you for documenting this all in a thread - it is a thoroughly enjoyable read.
Thank you very much!
