EXACTLY! I knew I was getting there when people at work, as I said before, were making comments like, ā€œyour face is sunken,ā€ ā€œyou look tiredā€, ā€œis what you’re doing safe?ā€

To tell you the truth, when those comments started coming, I felt VERY relieved!

Brick, do you belive that cutting has a time limit? I mean, no more than X months
reason : dont fuc* up hormones and stuff like that
I have been dieting for a long time, like 6 months or so…I started super light, no restriction at all, just set a number for my macros and a little bit less carbs and i lost weight for 3 months or more…after that i actually increase my calories (protein and a litte bit of fat) and kept losing weight, now i decreased my carbs a little bit and it is getting hard to get lean and im afraid of beeing in a cut for too long
what do you think ??
ps: i do zero cardio or hit yet

@BrickHead how confident are you heading in to the show? Us powerlifters generally know what type of numbers we are going to hit on the platform before we step on it. Since BB is a little more subjective from a judging standpoint, is it hard to really know how you will place?

Saw this on IG this morning. For real, I can’t wait to see the pictures of you on stage. Even though you look flat, it’s still impressive looking, so getting some water and glycogen in those muscles is going to be amazing!

Or you could just get a tire pump, insert the needle into one of the numerous veins and just start inflating away!

Pretty much impossible in an amateur show considering one has no idea of who will show up.

Still a little flat (and pale), but getting closer

So proud of this guy!

Dude I am so pumped for tomorrow, I can’t wait to see Brick take home the trophy.

Stu… I have a little surprise planned, I’ll hit you up on FB but I think Brad will get a kick out of it.

I do not think the sort of cut you did or are doing is harmful for six months or more. The reason being that from my own contest prep experience, if a cut is verging on being too lengthy, you would indeed feel the unhealthy effects of it!

I doubt you’re cut is for too long or severe, especially if you have not done cardio or HIIT yet. But then again, we have no detail here. You MIGHT be on too little calories for too long. Provide some detail and we can see.

Let me stress again, if you were indeed on a harsh long term cut, you would indeed feel it.

More carb up picks? Still filling out I presume. I’m excited for tomorrow!

I am actually driving to get Brad and head to the show right now. We’re going to try and update throughout the day if anyone wants to follow along.

Rob also says that he’s going to try and get photos up as much as he can.

Looking forward to stage pics, seeing the whole thing all put together. Gotta think you’re going to have some success today, but, one thing you know for sure, you didn’t leave anything on the field. Awesome effort!
