Have you ever seen Leaving Las Vegas? I can’t even think about the scene with Elisabeth Shue without cringing.

I can sort of see where you are coming from as the line can get a bit blurry. However, even if she is a prostitute she still should have the right to refuse just like anybody else who offers a service.

yeah everyone goes off duty. However, this case reeks of stink. Unlike the roethlisberger case which reeked of guilty. Nonetheless none of us were there and we have very few details at this point.

Oh, I’m not saying that this thing ain’t shady as hell. She calls her uncle from her pimp’s car? She’s a run-away and has contact with her uncle? This is admittedly way out outside of my reality, but something doesn’t add up.

I also really hope that LT didn’t beat the shit out of her, but either way he is in a shitload of trouble.

I just had to address that one particular statement. It’s a chick thing.

From what I read today, the pimp had beat her up earlier that day, and then dropped her off at the hotel. LT then paid her 300 bucks “which she later gave to police” (cbc.ca). This reeks to me of some lowlife realizing the goldmine she had fallen into when she was dropped off to work and realized it was a famous person.

To bad LT is broke for the most part

Shame people can’t view others, no matter what their position in life, with empathy.

I wouldn’t wish rape on anyone and, even if the scales would be tipped against a prostitute’s favor in court, I don’t see why they don’t have the right to report it.

Seriously. He didn’t make that much back in the day to begin with. Definitely not enough to support a $1000+/day cocaine habit.

Sad indeed. I guess to some folks rape and sex are the same thing.

Was the hooker hot? Pic?

Or maybe they think telling the truth and credibility are the same thing.

When a girls original story is she’s calling her uncle and LT’s friend brings her to the room, then you find out LT’s friend is actually your pimp, and you really just told you uncle you boned LT things start to change. Having regret or thinking you can get over is not the same thing as Rape. Women have a way of having tunnel vision when they hear the word rape.

Unless it’s a rape fantasy, guys don’t pay 300 dollars to have some girl sit lifeless, or crying or screaming get off me while you have sex.

Did anyone catch the court room footage? I saw a little and his lawyer is pretty aggressive. Came off as an asshole but that’s the kind of guy I want representing me…I think. My cousin Vinnie comes to mind with their first lawyer with the speech impediment, I definetly don’t want someone like him.

They were arguing about a restraining order and the judge and prosecuter wanted to bring one in and LT’s lawyer said something along the lines of LT doesen’t even know who CT(girl) is so he could potentialy go to jail for standing in a line-up at the airport and not even know she’s in the line-up with him, which of course violates the restraining order. BTW, LT has a court case involving leaving the scene of an accident in Florida.

I apologize for butchering the legal speak but you get the idea. It brought back memories of the OJ trial, can’t take my eyes off the screen.

steroids made him do it!

What does that have to do with the statement hookers ‘forfeit their right to cry rape’?

You should read before you post.

what? of course some guys do that!

I’m not saying he is not guilty for what he was doing, but does anyone actually know the law on 3rd degree rape?!?!?

What he did was a lot different than if he forcefully had sex with the girl, or beat her, or got her pregnant.

A person is guilty of rape in the third degree when:
(a) He engages in sexual intercourse with another person who is incapable of consent because he or she is mentally retarded;
(b) Being twenty-one (21) years old or more, he or she engages in sexual intercourse with another person less than sixteen (16) years old;
(c) Being twenty-one (21) years old or more, he or she engages in sexual intercourse with another person less than eighteen (18) years old and for whom he or she provides a foster family home as defined in KRS 600.020; or
(d) Being a person in a position of authority or position of special trust, as defined in KRS 532.045, he or she engages in sexual intercourse with a minor under sixteen (16) years old with whom he or she comes into contact as a result of that position

Again, not saying he isn’t guilty, just making sure people know the difference between first and third degree.

Curious to hear from the Lawyers on this site. If it is proven that LT paid for sex then was it consensual in the eyes of the law? Burden of proof for rape will be very difficult unless she had rape exam done soon after etc. He is still a dumbass with issues if at his age he is still trying to bump uglies with someone that young looking.

Well that is what makes me think he is quilty for child molesting type activity, he ordered a very young hooker. To quote from the movie Waterboy, “Dont smoke crack”.

Couldn’t read that the girl was a hooker.

There’s no way I would ever put that he was talking about the girl that LT raped that supposed to be a hooker an now crying rape huh?

I’m not saying that a prostitute doesn’t have the right to refuse, just that she forfeits the credibility that a woman ought to have in order to justify convicting a man of rape based on her statements.
