I’m not sure either, but I think your right about Skoula, he just doesn’t go after the puck hard enough. I kinda like Tanguay though, he is a little bitch but he comes through with some clutch performances. I just can’t get over the Red Wing’s series. We had em!!! There should have never been a game 7. In the early games we scored all their goals, we got them into the overtimes and kept them in the series. I have never seen such a burage (sp?) of bullshit goals over 2-3 games when at the same time the Avs had to have exquisite individual and onetimer opportunities to get goals by Hasek. And the whole time we had to suffer through the commentary of Gary Thorne licking the Wing’s asses even when they were getting killed and staying alive due to puck’s bouncing off the boards strangely or being thrown in the net by our defenseman. And game 7 was pure punishment, I can’t even say anything about that!! Damn, now I’m pissed off. Fuck the Wing’s!!!
I don’t like Skoula because he pusses out. Pure and simple pussy - no forechecking, no blocking shots, no hits. Do you remember Hill killing some poor forward attempting to cross the blue line - Hill skated straight for him, squared up, and stopped dead. The dude hit him full speed and BOUNCED off onto his ass and Hill was standing there over him with a “SAY MY NAME, BITCH! SAY IT! WHO KNOCKED YOU THE FUCK OFF YOUR ASS, BITCH? SAY IT!” attitude. That’s the shit I want from a defenseman. Skoula’d never do that. He won’t even lay down and take a puck to the head like Podien or Messier. Little bitch. When someone crosses the red line, he skates backwards and doesn’t stop till he’s been scored on! Oh, he’ll try to make a block look good, but how damn effective is cupping your balls and holding your legs together? That’s a block of 2’ wide (at the point where contact would occur) by 6’ high . How often do you see a guy shoot from the blue and arc it 6’? Damn ineffective runt. He should be laying his shit down on the ice making a 6’wide by 2’high block.
And Tanguay? Aside from the poor kid’s acne problem (which dermatologists should be able to help with), he’s not terrible. He’s not as worthless as Skoula and even though they can both take advantage of some lucky breaks, neither together nor separate do they equal one half of the “value-added” play of Hinote.
Now, you may catch on to this sooner or later so I’ll cut any ambiguity out right here…Danny’s my boy. I love his energy, his guts, how he runs goalies down, how he’s always in the thick of things mucking it up, how he’s got a better vertical than a damn NBA’er gloving pucks out of the air at center ice, how he draws penalties, how he won’t give the opposition time to set up behind their net because he’s in their faces with that smelly shit in his glove just waiting for a facewash opportunity, how 'artley (Hartley for you non-Canadians)puts him in any line for an energy infusion,etc, etc, etc. I just couldn’t fathom what LaCroix was doing dicking around with signing him.
As far as the Av’s/Wings…yeah, I have a hard time discussing that, too. I get this lump in my throat…makes it… hard… to talk. But since I’m typing 
it’s not so bad. Basically, we played like shit. They didn’t win, we LOST - and we lost to ourselves more than to them. Patty’s empty-gloved Statue-of-Liberty was the deathknell. All else was futility. But hey, with Bowman and Hasek retired now, and even though they have CuJo, this year is a whole 'nother story.
As usual you are exactly right!!! I totally agree with your opinions about Skoula and Hinote. It’s tough to find defenseman that are aggressive enough, can skate well, and are a legitimate scoring threat, and Skoula isn’t good at any of these. Hinote is great to watch. Parker is a great enforcer but just doesn’t get the ice time. I really liked Dingman last year and his icetime went up in the playoffs, but we shipped him off. I sometimes wish I would have played hockey instead of football… NA!!! Although, I could of been a hell of a defenseman at 6’2, 240 with a nasty linebacker mentality!! We should definitely catch a couple games this year. GO AVS!!!
ive never been impressed with skoula. he fucks up more then he makes plays. pierre should sell him to a team for a skate sharpener. also, ive never been a fan of kasparitis. he got his name when he was with the iles in the mid 90s and had a bunch of highlight reel hipchecks. if lacroix were smart, he would have traded for some big name draft picks on defense (like bouwmeester). the avs already have their veteran core, they need some prospects.

Credit where credit is due. Yes, Lord Stanley resides in Detroit for the next year. Yes, the Wings had one hell of a season. Yes, the Wings have the undisputable honor of being part of the Original Six and have a long and glorious history. Yes, Bowman is (if I remember my stats well enough) the winningest coach of all time, among several other top categories. That being said, I STILL don’t think Skoula deserves to play with the big dogs; I STILL can’t imagine why LaCroix would dick around with signing Hinote; I STILL think Kasparaitis is a bitch.
