Any advice on what I should be asking the MD tomorrow. As you can see my E2 levels are high @45. I’ve been on testosterone 200mg Q 10 days and my urologist has never done any tests other than PSA and testo levels.
When I asked him about estrogen blockers and E2 labs he said I didn’t need to. I feel worst than when I was first diagnosed with low T about a year ago, and almost every symptom that goes along with low T although my TT levels are 1385. Any advice would be highly appreciated.
Based on your lab work, 200mg per week is way too much.
Are you self injecting ? If so, lower to 100mg every 10 days.
Inject 33mg every third day.
Lots of guys think more is better in terms of T, but less is really more.
I had levels like yours at one time, and I felt like absolute shit.
It wasn’t until I lowered the dose and got my e2 under control that I
got the benefits associated with TRT. I currently use just
87mg per week, along with aromasin to control e2 and I feel great.
You may need an aromatase inhibitor (AI) to control e2, but before you get on that
you need to see where your levels fall to on half the dose you are
currently taking.
Thanks PKNY,
I meet with the LowTestosterone.com MD tommorrow. I do self inject and it has been the dose that the urologist has me on. Are you saying that its possible that after meeting with the MD tommorrow, all he might do is lower my dose and increase frequency as you suggested above, without any AI until labs are repeated. I’ve been feeling like Sh*t for way too long and am not really sure what to expect tommorrow. I believe with Low Testosterone.com labs are repeated after 6-8 weeks.
If I lower the MD lowers the dose like you reccomended above and with no AI will I feel better or worst than what I’m already feeling? Will my E2 levels drop? Will I need HGH at any time? I know that there’s no quick fix, but I get to the point where I can sleep 8-10 hours and wake up like if I’ve never slept. No sex drive no energy, no nothing. And yet my TT is so high.

why don’t you lower your injection doses and increase frequency of injections for a month rather than asking doc to write a script for a lesser amount (you don’t have to tell him that part).
it may serve you well down the road. as you learn more about hormone replacement therapy you may wish to go back to higher amount. also there have been testosterone shortages in the past and it is no picnic to be without.
Cdog has a point, just ask for an AI, and cut your dose as I outlined above.
It will take 10 days before you feel better based on the half life of Cyp.
All of your levels will fall, and you may not need an AI at all. But after 20 days
of your new dose you should evaluate how you feel. If you are still feeling bad, you will
need the AI, but HGH won’t be needed.
