Lab Recommendations

My brother (mid 30’s) has been feeling fatigued, irritable and just overall rundown. No issues with libido but, is having a problem with getting and keeping erections. He has a pretty easy office job but, by his own admission does tend to push it with training. I think his training along with trying to stay lean all the time may be the biggest factors.

Any specific tests/labs worth getting that may give him some direction?

Also, from where Quest, Labcorp etc.?

Lab tests you may want to run:

  • Total T
  • Free T (Equilibrium Dialysis method, NOT direct method)
  • Estrogen
  • Prolactin
  • Cortisol
  • CBC
  • Metabolic comprehensive panel
  • Lipids
  • LH
  • FSH

Overtraining can lead to a chronic elevation in cortisol, which is a testosterone killer, and prolonged elevated cortisol can kill the Leydig cells in the testes.
