So are you sticking with a gluten free lifestyle for the most part?

Been hitting the grill pretty hard this Spring. Got a new Weber 3 burner.

Today’s recipe is simple

Marinate strip steaks in EVOO, garlic, spices, etc.

Grill to medium.

Serve with rice pasta. The rice pasta really soaks up the steak juice.
Looks delicious. I’ve started rereading this thread but wouldn’t mind seeing more new pics either. This thread is pure inspirational food porn (poor copycat pic to prove how inspiring it is)
Thanks Kakno!

That looks delicious!!!

I try.

I don’t think I have a bad sensitivity, but it definitely bloats me up and makes me feel lethargic.

I’ve known for a long, long time that bread didn’t agree with me. I’ve just recently gone with zero or close to no gluten. Just makes it easier to ban it wholesale.

I will allow myself some pizza once in a great while.

I can eat a ton of the rice pasta and I feel fine. If I eat regular pasta I feel like I’m going to pass out. It’s funny because I’m actually eating more carbs now in potatoes and rice than ever before and I’m leaning out a bit.

Crazy stuff.

Playing around with a marinade.

 • Fresh crushed pineapple
 • Garlic/garlic powder
 • EV Olive Oil
 • My blend of ‘carribean spices’
 • Worcesteshire sauce
 • Bragg Liquid Aminos

These will marinate all day in fridge until this evening. I’ll let them sit out for a bit to get close to room temp, then grill rare/med.rare

HOt damn steely. Never been in this thread before…I thought i was one of the few on this site who did lots of cooking/marinading ect

Oh hell yeah.

I think I need a drool-safe keyboard.

I didn’t show this (camera low on batteries), but I marinaded the steak over night.

Marinade can be as simple as copious Olive Oil, Worcester Sauce, Black Pepper, Parsley. Maybe add salt, various peppers, onion, garlic powder, vinegar, etc.

Let the steak sit in the fridge overnight or until grilling time.

Spinach:

In a pan, add a Tablespoon or two of Sesame Oil. Over medium heat, add 3 garlic cloves (cut, crushed, etc). Sautee until it starts to brown.

Add the spinach. I put 3 handfuls in, enough to fill the pan.

Keep moving it around or it will burn-- eventually it will cook down (about 3-5 minutes). DO NOT TURN THE HEAT UP!
How many of these kind of recipes you make each day? I mean if somebody is on the Anabolic diet you will get a lot of carbs in a meal like this right? Worcester Sauce. Onion,Garlic. I wish these recipes had some more information, but maybe i’m just asking to much hehe. I see you really put a lot of time in this and i can only say THX! I’ll just look some stuff up about the ingredients and TADAAAA!

I must say Steely, you really got it right. I went to Italy 2 months ago and saw how little carbs were being consumed. I say this compared to what people here eat with regard to bread, potatoes, rice, and the processed crap. The meals you are sharing are just awesome, and hope to try some very soon.

Hai fatto bene paisano !
i’m living in Italy for 3 years now and i never saw Italians eating little carbs…

Hi Webseeker -

When I started this thread, I was doing the A/D and with good success gaining. The amount of carbs in those ingredients is negligible, especially something like worcestershire sauce. And those cook off in the grilling process. I wouldn’t overthink that too much.

The grilling stuff, like the steaks and to some extent the fish, I eat daily. I grill for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Working from home makes that easy.

Even the pineapple steak (which I’m about to put on the grill right now for breakfast) is probably OK for post-induction A/D (at least for me), just don’t eat the pineapple.

For the record, I’ve done ketogenic diets with much of these dishes (obviously without the starchy carbs) and they never threw me out of ketosis.

Various peppers, bay, cumin, etc, etc, dried citrus.

These steaks have a fruity ‘jerk’ taste.

You hit any PRs after consuming those steaks? You think that maridnade would be good on chicken and or pork?

I like the fact that you are grilling almost everything hehe. Thx for responding. the fatts you are using are mainly EVOO right? I use a lot of butter and EVOO and eat like 200 grams of fish. If you grill almost everything what about the fat?

It’s already been said a couple times, but this thread kicks ass. Seriously a top 5 thread for me. Thanks for the recipes.
