I thought this was a pretty brave thing for him to say:
"According to Colorlines, when McGrath asked Bryantâ??s opinion on the Miami Heatâ??s show of solidarity with Martin in the now iconic â??Hoodieâ?? photo, the 35-year-old L.A. Laker said that such a move showed lack of â??progressâ??:
I wonâ??t react to something just because Iâ??m supposed to, because Iâ??m an African-American,â?? he said. â??That argument doesnâ??t make any sense to me. So we want to advance as a society and a culture, but, say, if something happens to an African-American we immediately come to his defense? Yet you want to talk about how far weâ??ve progressed as a society? Well, weâ??ve progressed as a society, then donâ??t jump to somebodyâ??s defense just because theyâ??re African-American. You sit and you listen to the facts just like you would in any other situation, right? So I wonâ??t assert myself.â??
The profile goes on to quote former NFL running back Jim Brown, who at one point said, â??[Kobe] is somewhat confused about culture, because he was brought up in another country.â?? Bryant then defended himself on Twitter, writing, â??A â??Globalâ?? African American is an inferior shade to â??Americanâ?? African American?? #hmmm. that doesnâ??t sound very #Mandela or #DrKing sir.â??

He’s going to be skewered for it though. [/quote]
The PC police will be out in full force. He, fortunately for him, has fuck you money. As in enough where he can say “fuck you”, and no one can really do a damn thing.
Hey guys I had a genius idea a few seconds ago. I thought of multiplying 531 by 2 and starting a bodybuilding styled version of the program. I then proceeded to enter it into the search function, then popped out a thread entitled “Body Type and Nationality”. Random side note I wanted to boost that thread and see some truly insane theories and just common jokes.
For this video, I appreciate Kobe coming from a new train of thought in being progressive and not blindly supporting some one because they are the same race. I think for certain groups at certain places and time is necessary for said minority groups to unite on issues but for such cases as oj or where you know the person is guilty it just makes everyone look like their following a flawed premise.
What an incredibly logical outlook. Seems Bryany truly believes that people are people, regardless of race and should be judged on action, not skin tone.
“I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
I’ve always loved and believed in this quote, however, it’s seems that you can only use it in certain instances, which I very strongly doubt was the intention of the man who said it.
