What does legality have to do with right and wrong? For the last time: What is legal does not matter. What is illegal does not matter.
We are trying to get to the heart of the ethical debate here. [/quote]
Laws are just ethic’s taken to the next level. Ethics can work amoung small groups, but laws are required for large populations. Both however are made up by the people for the people.
Lets take it back to the basics. Forget the laws and the ethics. Blood vengance, you do anything to any of mine and I will kill you. Then I will kill your family so they can not seek blood vengance against me. Then I will kill all of their extended families for the same reason.
No one has the right to touch anyone in my fold without my permission. Individual, family, clan, tribe you are lucky to get that far without laws of one form or another.
Laws are not always fare. They don’t allow me to kill my neighbor for coveting my wife. Nor kick the shit out of teenagers for screwwing my daughter. Although the laws do little for me here they do allow me to sue their fucking asses off, vengance.
If the people would not seek blood vengance it’s a lame law. Some laws are made for control and other various reasons. I can debate the need for them. Blood vengance is what determines the validity of the law. Many laws simply protect the quilty from their true judgement.
In this case I vote to bring back blood vengance. That would put an end to the debate, right quick!

And that’s what would happen. Blood vengeance and fueds. If the government didn’t act, fathers, brothers, and uncles damn sure would. Chester the molester living up the street? He’d be found with his neck stretched and his toes dangling.
Sloth, the overwhelming majority finds sex with children repulsive, that’s a given.
The overwhelming majority will also frown upon cheating on your wife.
Does that mean a porn flic, a work of fiction, featuring a fantasy setting where a guy is unfaithful, should be illegal?
Or is it (more) illegal when it’s real evidence footage of a genuine, real world act of unfaithfulness?
What if a third person whacks of to the evidence tape? How sick is he, is he a criminal, too?
Streamline, I’m off to bed, but I’ll address you on the morrow. Btw, is french your first language?

There’s Adults, and the repulsive stuff they do, or are involved in. Then there’s children.

Wrong. Some laws may be based on certain ethical principles but most laws do not fit into any such category of ethics. They are deemed wrong just because some governing body says so. We call those malum prohibitum.

Well, you better do it quickly. I don’t even have to tell you why. You have already figured it out. Others that don’t figure it out won’t be around for very long either. Good riddance, I say!

Since the pictures are not sexual in nature, there is no crime. Depending where he is doing his business. It is no more a crime to imagine having sex than it is to imagine killing someone.

What if he’s masturbating to pictures of adult midgets having sex, but with the midgets’ heads Photoshopped out and very young children’s heads Photoshopped in?

Don’t necessarily think the government should be worrying about curse words, but would it be a bad thing if people watched their mouths more in public? How would this make life worse for our citizens?
Gee Mrs. Jones it’s lucky you brought young Randy in because this mother fucking flu going around is a real cocksucker. But the kid got a big set of balls and should bounce back soon.
I posted this and it didn’t come through so sorry if it double posts in the future.
For Lifty, You can’t argue that trading these pictures provides no stimulus for new material. Every single normal porn site that has free pics or videos has banner ads all over the place, along with redirecting links that hit randomly when content is clicked. These banned ads and redirect links make the person hosting the site money, the more hits and clicks they get on the site, the more money they make. This pushes them to search for new material thus creating the demand for new material even amongst people who don’t “pay” for it. You act as if there is some alltruistic child porn society that trades amongst eachother, material that was made before a certain date.
I also had a long winded second part about people who mess with kids having a different set of rules apply to them. And it stands, send a child molester into a federal prison and even the people who think killing, raping and stealing are just a part of life, will fuck that molester up bad. Even criminals put child sex offenders on a different level. I’ll leave it at that, you know where i’m going with it.
