You mean a powerful decompiler like gdb, which will run on anything since the 386?
Really, it takes a knowledge of assembly, familiarity with a debugger, and time (lots of time). Basically, you put in a breakpoint right before the program checks the serial number, then you follow, step by step, how the program generates the correct serial number from your name, and you write a program that does the same.[/quote]
