UL fan checking in. Definitely the most gruesome injury I’ve ever seen, though at the end of the day he’s going to be fine. Assuming no infection, we’re talking about a broken bone. Knowing him, he’ll be back in under a year better physically than he was, so I don’t think “career-ending” should even cross anyone’s mind.
In terms of devastating injuries, this wasn’t close to Shaun Livingston or even Nerlens Noel, though. A broken bone is a lot more straight forward than a blown knee.
Shaun Livingston’s blowout was probably the worst I’ve seen from a damage done standpoint. Ware’s is hands down the most gruesome.
Livingston’s having a pretty decent year for the Cavs. Not exactly an explosive player, but able to contribute pretty nicely.

don’t get me wrong, it’s bad but it could be worse. A lot of times less conspicuous looking injuries can be career ending.
I.e. meniscus acl, pcl
Did you not click on the picture Derek posted? That is probably the worst looking sports injury I have seen. It might not be the worst in terms of how long he will be out or possible career ending. From what I understand he probably won’t be able to play for about a year which doesn’t seem that bad after looking at that picture, haha.
hence the looks worse than it is, not that it’s not bad just that it looks worse than it is (assuming not further complications or unknown further injuries).
I’ve seen many people come off the field with virtually no visible damage and be out for 2 years

Good for him. Always seemed like a hardworking kid. Meant to mention that the fact he can walk without a limp, let alone play professional basketball at the highest level, is amazing. His game was never based on explosiveness, so maybe that helped?
What she fails to realize is this is not a positive trait the way she portrays it. It is simply a bunch of women that got so caught up in the moment that they let their emotions get in the way of them realizing that they were actually in way and were not helping the situation but hurting it.
That and the guy she was talking about was simply the first one to get there. He was trying to keep his teammate still until the properly trained people could get there then he backed up as he should.

I never saw him play before the injury. What he really brings to the Cavs is that he’s a true point guard. Knows how to take what the defense is giving up, he can get in the lane and make the right passes, and he’s about 6’7" with long arms so he’s also got the size. Good player imho, and is a great back up PG for any team.
