Today was leg day and I was excited until I realized my mp3 player was dead…and they were playing techno funk at the gym…yeah Oh well, got after it!

So here’s the breakdown:
bodyweight squats - 8 x2
plie squats - 25#/8 x2
jumpsquats - 15 x2
stiff legged deadlift - 70#/8 x2
leg press - 300#/10 x2
smith machine squats - 70#/10 x2
seated calf raises - 300#/30 x2
standing calf raises - 110#/30 x2
seated leg curl - 70#/10 x2
leg extensions - 55#/10 x2
glutes - 190#/15 x2
abductors - 85#/15 x2

jumping jacks - 300

I was pleased with the smith machine squats. It’s been a while since I’ve done those, and I was concerned how my knee would react without my knee brace on. So I put 70# on and tested it out. Knee felt solid, so next week that’s what I will start with and see how it reacts.

Well, that’s it in a nutshell. I’ll finish the day with HLRS and more jumping jacks and then tomorrow is probably going to be kickboxing.

Yep!! I added an extra 1/2 scoop to the morning protein powder and protein problem solved!

Week 1 Day 1 of 12 week push/pull

Morning peeps! Up at the BCOD slowly…I woke up at 12:44 a.m. and could not get back to sleep…took some cat naps and just feel asleep again when the alarm went off. It is what it is!! I didn’t think I’d have alot of stamina in the gym, but was very surprised!! I was able to lift heavier than I did last time I did this routine on everything!

So here’s the breakdown: 3 sets each 8-10 reps
deadlifts - 80#
bb rows - 50#
bench press - 40#
wide grip pulldowns - 70#
close grip pulldowns - 70#
incline dp press - 20#
seated rows - 70#
cable crossovers - 15#
glutes - 195#/15 x2
adductions - 90#/15 x2
standing obliques - 25x2
standing crunches - 25x2
hyperextensions - 20x2
standing twists - 25x2
jumping jacks - 300

At lunch today I’m going to do a 20 min HIIT session of jumping jacks, HLRS and jump squats.

Good morning peeps!!! I slept like the dead last night!!! It was awesome!!

Up this morning at the BCOD, supps taken and out the door we go.

It was 68* at 4:30 a.m…wet and muggy but I am not complaining!! I love the heat!!

Ok, I’ve been taking coconut oil for about 3 weeks now. Not sure if it’s doing anything for the abs or just the hard work, but it is helping with my fat intake and there are other things I’ve noticed. I’ve been swishing it around like mouthwash a couple times a week and my teeth are about 3 shades whiter and I’m still drinking 2-3 cups of coffee a day. I’m also using it on my hair as a conditioner after shampooing, and my hair is softer and shinier than it’s been in a long time! I color my hair and straight iron so yeah, I’m loving this!!

Ok, today’s workout:
3 sets each 8-10 reps

cg bench - 40#
hammer curl - 15#
skull crushers - 30#
cable curl - 10#
tricep press down - 25#
tri dips - 20 each set
bb forearm curl - 30#
db forearm curl - 15#

Didn’t do the HIIT I wanted to yesterday, so I’m going to get it in today at lunch. It’s going to be HLRS, jumping rope, Heisman’s and jump squats repeat x3 if I can in 20 min…we’ll see how that goes!

Looks like the coconut oil is good for everything, dump some in the Avalanche for a little power boost. haha

Coconut oil for whiter teeth? Maybe I should try it, my teeth were born yellowish and no polish seems to help.
