What kind of lower back injury?
I have bulging discs in my L3,4, and 5. I also have the beginnings of degenerative disc disease.
A week ago I 1rm 425.
So unless you’ve got something so ridiculous…it’s not that hard to do DLs with a fucked up back. You just have to be smart.
Torn annulus in my L1 plus slight scoliosis (hence assymetry in my pictures)
I wasn’t trying to make excuses for a lack of effort. I seriously couldn’t do DL’s above 155 lbs for a while. It hurt too much.
Congrats on your 1rm btw
Well I have no idea wtf a torn annulus in your L1 would feel like, but hey if you can’t do it you can’t do it.
I’ve got a “slight” case of scoliosis as well…I think a good majority of people do…I could be wrong.
Also, I have a facet on my left side that goes out of place…sometimes pinches a nerve or gets caught in the muscle…a very shitty feeling…I don’t maybe I’ve just got a higher threshold for pain.
As far as the steroids…that’s all you. But I have to agree with everyone else on this board and say it’s pretty silly at your size, with your stats, and your current years of training that it’s not needed.
You could get the same results that you’re trying to get with gear the good ole fashion way…it will just take longer.
You remind me of a kid I went to high school with. Came back home one christmas and the kid was small as shit. I find out later from him that he’s going to be starting a cycle and asks me my thoughts. I told him he was an idiot that he should just eat and lift. He didn’t listen…wanted the quick and easy way.
A year later I see him again. He’s bigger, but not much bigger. I was still bigger than him. He looked like he maybe gained…10lbs…and it wasn’t all muscle. I have a feeling the same thing is going to happen to you. You’ll take your cycle, but you won’t have a clue as to what you’re doing because you don’t know your body and you wont push it far enough. Plus you don’t have a good foundation of strength to even reap the benefits of steroids.
You’ll find out the hard way I guess.
Still, keep us posted. Whether you fail or not. No shame in being wrong. And if you’re right you get to throw it back in to all of our faces.[/quote]
Thank you for knowing the right way to voice concern and/or disapproval. Personally, I think I do, and I’d appreciate it if you checked out my log as I think you’ll see I’m quite well informed.
As for pushing my body… we shall see…
