Kanye's Antisemitic Remarks

  1. No Italians are part of the Mafia because Italians can’t be in the Mafia.

  2. The Mafia doesn’t exist.

I’d broadly agree with that. These things are more doable in this day and age than ever.
I think someone like Kanye, who already has a profile, and wealth(atm) has a much better chance to promote any new musical releases, than some newbie straight off the streets. Even so, his days as a successful musician are probably over.
Every man and their dog seems to have a self recorded album these days. Even if its good there is still little chance of success, if social media, streaming platforms, established labels, refuse to sign or promote them.

You can film a music video on your phone, but its not going to give anything like the same impact than one backed by a major studio, and their cash.

Live music wise, he’s probably going to have a hard time booking any major venue, or getting included in a big festival. Will credit card services refuse to take payments on his behalf? Probably, so it makes life harder. Having money is in his favor, but the game is stacked against him, so risk vs reward won’t be good.

If you don’t get the meme, the same way that I do, that’s just how it is. I think broadly its about human psychology. and cognitive dissonance. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. Apart from the conclusion what if anything do you disagree with, and why do you think the conclusion is impossible?
There is nearly always a context and nuance. There is no hiding behind anything. Facts are facts. Opinions can change either way when presented with new facts, or least they can with someone who is open minded and isn’t emotionally wedded to an ideology.
Some people don’t care to look for them, others ignore them when presented with them. We all probably do it some time in our lives, I know I have, in reflection over the years.

I don’t think you are anything like a moron, and whether you believe me or not I actually do appreciate your input, I will always give you the time of day, even if I don’t agree with you.

Eh, I guess so.

Well thanks. I appreciate that. I’ll do the same.

Back to this though. Saying “Apart from the conclusion” eliminates the one thing that is utterly unprovable, and frankly implausable. Not impossible, but not plausible.

Its like if I were to disappear for a few days, then when the wife asks where the hell Ive been I go

  1. Got in the car.

  2. Went to the store

  3. Picked up bread.

  4. Was abducted by aliens.

Now statistically, if you reach really really far, you could consider it “not impossible”.

But is it plausible? No. Not even remotely.

The real question is… was there any anal probing involved in the alleged alien abduction???

What benefit is there to being able to travel beyond light speed to distant galaxies if you can’t anal probe stuff when you get there?

Fair point.

My point would be, Jews aren’t going to hold back an artist from becoming successful if he has the talent and work ethic. I doubt anyone who tried to pursue a musical career and failed could honestly blame it on the Jews.

Yeah music is a tough industry, even if you are very talented and have original ideas.
Some artists who you expect to be more successful don’t succeed, whilst others arguably less talented or original go on to make big$. It could be personal problems, not having enough charisma, or the right look, some kind of X factor. In general I don’t think you’re going to have troubles unless you do something to actively piss of big executives. Most artists don’t seem to have an issue, or at least don’t express it publically.

Its seems to be those that are, or have been successful, that bring up the "jewish"complaint. Michael Jackson and Van Morrison come to mind. Its hard to tell how much that effected their careers. Both were/are well past their best years in creative terms. Jackson had addiction and mental issues.

I will say over here in Australia we had a really good label in Australia, called Mushroom Records. It was originally small, but grew to be pretty important, on the Australian scene, finding and nurturing new talent… The founder was Jewish. Michael Gudinski. I never heard a bad word said about him on any level. Highly loved and respected by all.

Sadly he died last year. I can’t see anyone steeping up to his level anytime soon.

Were Jackson’s plastic surgeons Jewish? Anyway, given how Jackson bought the rights to the Beatles’ catalog, he shouldn’t complain about others’ iniquities.

Did we ever think those who made it in music were the most talented?

Have you SEEN how popular mumble rab is nowadays? Go listen to lil yachty and tell me there’s an ounce of talent there…

I’ve never liked Kanyes music, but I can admit he’s an ok musician. He’s also bipolar with psychotic features… whether that factors into his beliefs who knows

He’s HARDLY the first musician to have an issue with jews, and he won’t be the last. I don’t think he will be cancelled over this, disliking Jews isn’t necessarily something that cancel culture has jumped on (yet).

His undoing will be provoked through one of his many future upcoming manic episodes as he doesn’t believe in taking meds for bipolar disorder.

Ha ha, After 40secs I wanted to stab myself in the ears so I could never hear again.
Just for the fun of it who else should I check out?

Lil Nas X (terrible), lil uzi vert (awful), lil xan (so bad) and young thug (aaaaaa)

Be warned… you might get brain damage listening to these guys

I think most of the modern, mumble rap stuff is really terrible. These poor confused little guys don’t even try to rhyme anymore!

I don’t remember hip hop sounding like that before Kanye. I think of him as of the first super influential non-rhymers. So I blame the current whack sound on him.

I first listened to rap at age eight in 1987 and continued listening to it until my teens. Although I now mostly and intensely dislike even the rap I once used to enjoy long ago, the decline is ugly. Rap from the 80s and 90s sounds like a different genre to me then what is made today.

Each group or solo rapper from the 80s and 90s had a different flavor and sound, many of them being sociopolitically conscious and intellectual. When in a public place and being subjected to rap, I cannot even tell the difference of one artist or group to the next.

It definitely sounds totally different and way less Fun today. That said, we’re in our mid 40s now, so I’m not sure today’s Rap guys are really trying to appeal to us.

I agree about the decline, especially of the socially conscious/intellectual guys. Gangsters and even pop-star rappers like MC Hammer a lot more to say back then.

Ewe-Tube gave me some new stuff last month and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that most of the Wu Tang guys are still making music like it’s '94.
