that was so staged
watch the3 of them make a song together next summer
I don’t think it was staged, but they’re probably already talking collaboration.
There was nothing staged about that. Some jerkoff who’s famous for making shitty music and an ass of himself hasn’t seen his name in the headlines in awhile and wants to take someone elses moment and make it about him. All of the dickriders who can’t [or won’t] understand that the guy sucks will still buy his lame ass shit and support him, and all of the people with a brain in their head will keep doin’ what they do.
Are you still mad about that time Kanye stuffed you in a locker??? Let it go it was 11th grade.
Dude, shut the fuck up. I could give a shit about tiny faggot Kanye West, but he keeps doing dumb shit that someone started a thread on so I posted. You and Prof X and some other folks keep posting retarded nonsense in this guys defense, and when ya’ll keep getting shut down ya’ll comback with chicken scratch. The guy’s an idiot and in 10 years no one will remember him. Let it go. No one here is discrediting West because he’s black, so “ya’ll” don’t need to get so defensive. I’m discrediting him 'cause he’s a shitty “musician” who behaves like a spoiled 5 year old.
Come on, Flash. You’re thinking this girl is the next Faith Hill or Shania Twain? This girl will last 10 years? People who have lasted 10 years are icons: Metallica, Madonna, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Van Halen, Celine Deon, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, Nas.
They all have varying degrees of fame and through their career have to do certain things to stay relevant(Celine Deon does Vegas shows, for example).
Kanye West may not be hot for 10 years, but he will be producing music or owning record companies for years to come. He’ll be the puppet master and he’ll sign Taylor Swift to record company.
And she’ll be the lounge singer in one of Kanye’s buildings.
“OH SHIT SON, YOU GOT SHUT DOWN”
Maybe he will, if he doesn’t blow it all on porno and kleenex. The facts are ya’ll are giving West way too much credit. This girl has struck a positive chord with people, makes musice that for some reason appeals to the masses and seems like an all around good egg. West however makes club anthems and alienates his consumers. I think all of his shit sucks, but from those I know who do enjoy it they’ve said that each album he’s made since his first have been worse than the last. In the industry he’s in that doesn’t bode well for longevity. Also, with the exception of Nas, Jay-Z and Carey all of those people have been around for DECADES, plural. I think with the industry she’s in and the quality of her product [again I’m not a fan, but she writes her own stuff and plays her own instrument, not raps about her watch and kinda rhymes about Jennifer Lopez’s ass] she 100% has the potential to outlast West by a mile. Maybe when it’s all said and done she’ll be kind enough to let Kanye be the groundskeeper at one of her many mansions.
“OH SHIT SON, YOU GOT SERVED”
She strums a guitar and sings, Kanye uses a mix board and writes. You can’t put one above the other. Both are different forms of music. And if someone is skilled enough, people will pay for their services.
Kanye has people paying him money to do their albums. I don’t see him going backwards and relying solely on his own albums. Swift has to work her way up to that. Until then, she’s gonna have to stick to country ballads.
Also, not all of Kanye’s songs are club anthems. “Jesus Walks” wasn’t bumping when I hit the clubs. He had one song on his earlier songs dedicated to his Mom that I personally loved. Hell, I played it for my mom and she loved it. And she dislikes hip hop music.
Going beyond 4 years in the music industry is an accomplishment. Everyone I’ve mentioned are Icons and manage to stay relevant even if they don’t release an album yearly.
Swift appeals to the masses, but Kanye has appealed to the masses for years. Just cause you don’t like him doesn’t mean he’s not appealing. He’s a douchebag, but he’s still appealing.
Ya know, for someone who loves hip hop, I would think you would be more open minded.
And to quote Eric Cartman:
“You just got F’ed in the A”[/quote]
I actually liked Jesus walks, or the beat anyway. I wasn’t puting one over the other at all. My favorite beat of all time is Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth’s “T.R.O.Y.” and that was sampled from “today” by Tom Scott. And I could be wrong but I believe Swift has written for others as well. Also, I’m quite open minded, but I know what sucks and what doesn’t.
