Believe it or not, Steve, for some of us, high rep squats and deads make us long for eternal rest. Of course, they do make you forget about life’s other issues.

I didn’t set the world on fire. I just wanted to get some muscles moving. I was kinda disappointed. I am just about forcing myself in the gym. I guess all in all I shouldn’t expect much!!

I actually made it 2 days in a row. I didn’t set the world on fire but I worked up a decent sweat. I need to get my ass in gear and get structured.

Barbell/ dumbbell complex: 6 sets of 5 reps each movement. SLDL, high pulls, bent row 135 lbs, ohp 40lb db, Squats in the Smith with 185 lbs.
Complexes damn near killed me. Looks like a trend is starting. I hope I can continue to carry on. Going to try and mix some cardio in pretty soon.
JW’s morning thought: Last night, I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and thought to myself, “Where the hell is the ceiling?”

As they say, “just do it”.
Glad to see you are taking it a day at a time and still hitting the gym.
I think the gym motivation comes and goes for everyone. Lifes stresses definately impact performance, but on the flip side working out helps you deal with them better.
Thanks for the support guys, I’m hoping my reports of my demise were greatly exaggerated.

4 mornings in a row. Maybe I’m starting a trend.I think Saturday I will get back on the bench. Its been a month or more and I need to get cracking at something. As I say over and over I gotta get me a plan!
JW’s morning thought: My mother in law is wound up tighter than the girdle of a baptist preacher’s wife at an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast.

You aren’t counting complexes as cardio. I usually do when I do them.
Thanks for leaving the light on for me Harry. These are times I need a beacon to find my way back.
Dateline Monday 4:17 am complex day
Barbell complex 5 sets 5 reps each movement
I do SLDL, high pulls, and bent rows with 135 lbs. OPH’s are done with 35 lb DB’s and I do squats in the Smith with 185. I was really panting. 2 weeks off made this morning really hard. I’m going to try to lift some weights in the morning. I’m long overdue with any chest training.
I have been going through a myriad of personal issues. I continue to try to find my way to the gym. For what ever the reason training does give me a base line to start from with attitude. I felt like crap not training in the last few weeks. I couldn’t get myself out of bed to train and feel better. It was an ugly spiral I was in and I forced my way out today. I guess I’m like a recovering drunk. I’m taking it one day at the time. Sooner or later I will hit my stride again.
JW’s morning thought: In the South an air conditioner is called a politician because it makes a lot of noise but doesn’t work very well.
Complexes…after two weeks off you jump back into the ring and choose complexes…that is STEEL brother…Balz of Steel…I dig it!!! great to have the Morning Master back on airwaves!!
