I know you are all perfect and don’t eat junk food, But I heard that the United States doesn’t have Ketchup flavoured potatoe chips… is this true? That is wierd, I mean I know you guys aren’t into poutine, and mayo on hamburgers, but really… they are ketchup chips… they rule.
Can we start a WAAAY OFF TOPIC forum for this post? Just kidding Dave.
…right, I don’t even know what to say.
I bought some the other day. Oh and I like mayo on my burger. yummmmm
I do.
“Ketchup-flavored potato chips”? Where do I get some?
Naah! Years ago, maybe. Nowadays, it’s easier to pass up food that exists as a novelty, rather than as nutrition.
I understand that this is from WAAAAAAAAAY out in left field, but I had nothing to read the other day, so I read about potatoe chips. They said they were experimenting with squid flavoured chips in Asia, and Ketchup is a staple in Canada… which made me realize that it probably isn’t sold down south… you poor bastards.
We have ketchup chips here in Detriot, and also dill, mustard, and whole bunch of flavors made by a company called Uncle Ray’s I believe. I also eat mayo on my burger, didn’t know it was a Canada thing untill I saw the whole nine yards. I guess I had to respond seeing how I am a ketchup fanactic.
never heard of those
tomato on a potato!
well, in some Asian countries the favorite snacks are seafood flavored…my exgirlfriend LOVED some kind of shrimp flavored puffed-Cheeto type-stuff…
they make ketchup chips?
I heard they stunt your growth…j.k.
And here in Canada, we don’t have the Cherry Coke, or Jolt.
DAMMIT HWY DIDN’T CANADA GET THAT GROWTH STUNTING MEMO??? I could have been tall… but then my name would just be … Dave…
Sugarfree: what are you talking about, we have jolt… we have three flavours of Jolt, and we have cherry pepsi for sure… although I don’t drink coke or pepsi so I am not sure about the cherry coke.
And being as how this is in the WAAAAY off Topic section. Has anybody ever had a “Dragon’s Breath” You take a Jolt Cola, drink it to the top of the label, and dump in a whole pack of skittles. Then you shake it up for about a half an hour until all the skittles have dissolved. Once that has happened, you carefully open it and drink down the sugar/caffiene sludge as fast as you can… it leaves you wired for a good three hours… and in extreme cases you can’t help but shake…
Ahhhhhh good old college days.
Didn’t know that was called a dragon’s breath… Imagine an eight year old and a six year old drinking that on a long road trip. My brother and I used to give our parents hell, even when we were young.
Junk food in Japan is either really tasty or kind of weird. They have stuff called Pocky and it is pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate (or other flavors ranging from strawberry to cream to green tea). On the other side of the coin they have takoyaki which is octopus with spices fried in a ball.
haha canadians crack me up.
"Then you shake it up for about a half an hour "
Dude doesn’t that make your arm sore?!
Amen stevenf, canucks are, uh, interesting!
yeah man… the arms gets crazy sore… then I switch to the other one… and it gets sore, then back to the first arm, and so on and so forth. I have convinced a few people to do this, I usually end up having to shake it for them, but after they see what it looks like I usually get to drink it for them too.
Fnord11: man I really want to go to Japan now, not only does the food sound like alot of fun, there are also alot of Japanese people there… and I would be normal height, or dare I say… taller than average!!!
you should all try shrimp chips. You can get them at a nasty, tiny asian store But ur mouth stinks after.
Canada has always had more flavors of brand name potato chip – ketchup, dill pickle, BBQ chicken, etc. Strange but true. Most of these were made by Hostess or Old Dutch, but apparently they distribute flavors differently from region to region.
