Any idea what your DHT level is at (now or on injections)?
No clue atm. Im sure its above 200.
Gotcha. Mine has always been 120-140.
Well shit I dont know what I was thinking, but I just havenāt felt the same ripped feeling I had right before covid.
Ive been going to the gym as I always have, eating the same and so forth, but I was feeling too puffy.
About a week ago I decided I will start to push myself harder like I used to and within 3 days I am waking up every morning with that super toned , ripped and gahhhhh I feel so damn good feel and look.
Before this I was waking up and my stomach was not flat, nor did I have much definition for quite a few months now. I tried everything, except more frequency and intensity at the gym.
As of a week or more ago I am just working harder, and hitting the gym more often during the week and I feel like I did when I was optimal. I also added more deadlift and legs into the mix more often.
Just something I wanted to throw out there for any of you who might have felt the same and dont know what to do. For me it works, maybe for others as well.
This is proof for me that Testosterone helps a ton, but its up to me how hard I push my self to achieve my desired fitness. T is not a magic pill that just turns you into a jacked or ripped / shredded bad ass with minimal work at the gym. It is a combination of healthy hormone levels, training and diet.
Side note: @bkb333 I started using hcg 300iu and then 100 iu every 3rd night for a couple weeks. Then I usually take a break to give my woman a rest. Why? Every time I use HCG I get stupid sky high libido, its not how much T I have though, the HCG somehow produces more sensitivity and a type of desire I just cannot achieve on T alone.
I have tried without a dozen times and with more than several dozen over the last year and the HCG always causes me to have more sensitivity and better everything pertaining to sex drive, libido and whatever else you wanna call it.
I know this is anecdotal as some of the professionals out there might say, but for me this is plenty of evidence and I figured you might want to give this a try if you are still struggling.
Fertility is another question I cannot answer because I havenāt gotten her pregnant nor have I tested. Not worried about it though. It will happen if its meant to.
Thatās super interesting, brother. I have been taking HCG once every two weeks, just until I run out, for fertility purposes (not that I think itās essential). I havenāt noticed any impacts on my libido, but I also havenāt been paying close attention because I didnāt think it would make a difference. Iāll do that from here on out and let you know what I observe. Maybe the placebo now in my mind will do something ![]()
If itās getting the job done for you in the bedroom (not that you ever really have issues there, anyway), keep injecting that HCG, my man!
Hey, anecdotal evidence is still evidence!
SO good, man. As I see it, there are three big āpillarsā: exercise, sleep, and food. Youāve got to have those three dialed in to feel great. Hormones might be the next-biggest thing to take care of, but those three are way more impactful than anything else.
Truth bro!
He means, have fat in the meal prior to taking Vitamin D. it binds to the ft you just consumed, if you dont have any fat there is nothing for the D to bind to.
Today a couple years later im actually taking 20k daily at night and with food.
thats alot I was taking 5000 iu, (plus eggs, and from multi vitamin also a calcium and added D) but actually close to 15000 iu. When I lowered the "d " due to blood labs, actually feel better less sluggish, ore alert.
My levels have taken forever to increase, but once i do get up there i will get on a maintenance dose. I have tried a larger dose for a short period of time a couple of times⦠only when i have super low levels⦠it seems its working and im going to test soon again. fortunately i do not feel any of those symptoms.
@bkb333 and everyone else⦠I cant remember everyones username anymore. Ive been busy the last year and havent had time to be on this forum. But i do check time to time.
Ok so this is for the new guys and older gents. Just a quick update i think will give some folks an idea of how it feels to be on TRT almost 3 years in.
Ive been on trt for around 3 years, but year 1 i was not feeling good because thyroid was not fixed.
I switched docs and my new doctor at tier1 got me on thyroid about two years ago. Since then ive been feeling the benefits of both trt and thyroid.
Everything has improved and continued to improve every few months since the day i started. It feels like those improvements have hit their peek and i dont feel much needs to be fixed except my sleep. This is probably due to this Suboxone i am on. I did drop this by 50ish percent this last month. However, before i started suboxone i had an issue with focus, which i am going to talk about next.
I havent been able to focus since i was a kid. Constantly on the go and never able to sit still. I have to be doing multiple things at once and my brain is always thinking about the next thing. I guess thats why i started a business.
Right now it seems my brain and body have some how healed to an extent where i can actually focus for a long while and i think its a combination of lowering my dose on Suboxone, and TRT. Trust me ive tried the fasting and diet in the past and it never worked for me. Nothing worked, even before i started Suboxone i had these issues. I probably had low t back then as well.
This leads me to believe that TRT has helped. What else could it be? I havenāt changed anything else at all.
I had to skip a couple days of fasting and i still had focus at work. I havent changed anything else. No new supplements, still drinking my caffeine and whatever else i take.
I am looking forward to this benefit sticking around. I feel like i can turn this business of mine into an even more success for me and the family. Man it feels good. Until i check brokerage account : ]
Anyone else noticed the same?
Same experience with TRT and Suboxone. Once I got dialed in I noticed I didnāt need as much. Could actually lower the dose steady for 6 months, now down to 1mg.
I think all the issues ppl have with coming off Suboxone (and other opiates) is the disruption of the HPTA. TRT has vastly helped that.
So glad youāre still feeling great, brother! You seem to have had a more positive experience than me so far during our run on TRT. Tier1 has been so good for you!
Iām not familiar with Suboxone, so canāt comment on if that is causing the sleep issues, but I am curious what your habits/behaviors around sleep are. Iāve had a lot of success when Iāve been disciplined about a sleep routine ā no electronics 2 hours before bed, turn all lights off or dimmed and light candles, take melatonin (only 3 mg) and magnesium (especially threonate), drink chamomile tea with apple cider vinegar and honey, etc.
Pulling this off is not always possible with a newborn, but when I execute all the steps, it works super well!
Sleep is so crucial to all facets of our health, bro. I really hope you get to the bottom of this!
Sleep is the hardest, Ive had trouble here and there too. What gets me to finally sleep though is working my ass off all day. I work, eat lunch and no breaks. Seems like Im missing out on the taking a break part but if I work all day Im beat. When I get home I still have to do things at home but once I settle in, I can do dinner, sex and sleep. If sex is in cards.
Working your ass off during the day definitely makes it easier to rest at night. So does getting sunlight early in the day. Iāve read 10-15 mins is optimal. I usually take the baby out on the back porch or for a few laps in the driveway. Itās way easier now that itās warm out.
Yah that helps a ton⦠I spent so many years killing myself on the bike⦠I just got tired of the effort ⦠go to the gym and I go hard but Iām not exhausted when Iām done. I think itās this shit Suboxone that keeps me numb.
Iāll stop by the posts on your end bro.
Thanks⦠things are normal and thatās what matters: close to normal as possible.
Yah I changed a few things around sleep: main one being no more good and sugar: yah I was eating whatever a couple hours before bed and I sleep much better without:
On the other hand they have handful of research showing Suboxone ruins rem sleep. Get off Suboxone is all I need to do. I bet my sleep will be much easier and more quality ![]()
Sounds like you already know what to do, my dude. Hopeful it works as you expect! Why are you taking it?
I had been sober for like 10 years⦠I got married and was absolutely miserable. Letās just say she was an evil little B who had so called daddy issues .
I said fuck if. Started popping pills again. My addictinologist friend / Doctor got me on Suboxone so I wasnāt chasing pills.
Now Iām stuck⦠I have been slowly lowering my dose until Iām ready to get sober again. God willing.
