Background: Been on TRT about 3 years at .5 ML 1x week.
Went to call in a refill last week on the TRT and didn’t realize I was about 5 weeks too early! We are thinking my wife may have accidentally administered 1ML on a few occasions and that’s caused me to run out before I can refill. Pharmacy says I cannot refill it early due to it being a controlled substance.
Called my Dr about it and they are trying to figure something out so I can get a refill now. In the event they can’t workaround this, what are my options?
Is there some type of OTC supplement I can get that would keep me from crashing?
With it being more than a month before I can refill, I’m definitely concerned with withdrawals and crashing.
Can buy some prohormones/sarms or something if they’re still OTC/sold online in the states. Quasi legal grey area.
Most will wreck your bloodwork, but 3-4 weeks probably wouldn’t kill you. Won’t serve as an adequate replacement either, but better than having the total/free testosterone of a castrated man
Thank the federal government for making testosterone a CIII substance. The FDA will audit compounding pharmacies. Because of this, the pharmacy usually wants you to be through around 80% of your current rx before refilling.
Easy fix, have your doctor use another pharmacy (most practices use multiple pharmacies, we do) and document that you were mistakenly overdosed. It happens. It can’t happen five time a year though.
Live and learn: better to have and not need than …
In 3 years you haven’t been able to squirrel away an inventory in case of emergency? Always good to have multiple options available. In today’s environment pretty simple. Otherwise, UGL which seems insane since you have legitimate Rx.
In 3 years you haven’t got a supply of hCG (if you are secondary), AI, extra TC?
Do you have any unreasonably big gym buddies? Might be a low risk way to get an extra vial.
I seemed to run into this problem a lot when doing TRT though a clinic due to strict re-order times, and slow shipping (not a month wait though). If I was doing it again, I’d try to have one extra vial of UGL or pharma Test around in case of stuff like this.
Best to not break the law, but even if you ordered online, I don’t think you would get in much trouble for a single vial (if you package was seized). Of course, online is going to have a wait to it, so not a great option at this point. Although there are places that deliver in about a week.
Find UGL source or substitute with a different form/concentration (if you Rx is for 100mg/mL see if your doc can order a 200mg/mL version as a stand-in). Or, have him order you a SERM and run a sort-of PCT to carry you over. That would suck, but it’s better than the alternative
