As the title suggests, is there any (if at all) conclusive, well conducted studies showing dangerous side effects of AAS or prohormone useage?
Secondly, you have probably heard a story like this many times before on this forum, but please, bear with me. I have a friend who is soon to turn 20. He’s about 5’9 and probably not more than 60kg/140lbs at best. He’s deadset on resorting to getting Steroids or HGH to combat his “problem”. His reasoning is that “I’m turning 20 soon and I’ve still got the body of a 16 year old”. By his own admittance, he doesn’t eat much, sometimes even skipping meals. He also claims not to be able to eat after workouts as it makes him feel sick.
Honestly, it’s not the fact that he’s never tried to slam down the food and see what happens, or even that he is deadset on using roids. It’s that we live in Australia, so already, the chances of getting good quality shit is halved, and he hasn’t even considered Post Cycle stuff, let alone having any knowledge of it. I know for a fact he CAN get stuff like Deca.
As for HGH, if he can get it, is it potentially safer for him to use rather than messing around with prohormones with no PCT?
Lastly, is there anything I can do to help him minimize the risk to himself, or should I just let it go as he’s fucked?
I say point him to this site. If he wants to read, he will, if not, oh well. It’s his body, and since you don’t live in my country, I won’t ever have to pay for his health care bills.

Steroids will negatively affect your heart, in several ways.

Nandrolone eleven times more damaging to blood vessels than testosterone
Nandrolone kills the blood vessel lining at a concentration eleven times lower than that at which testosterone kills them. Researchers from the University of Lâ??Aquila in Italy discovered this in laboratory tests on human cells…

So the synthetic prohormones that are created to get around the AAS ban are far more damaging than the real stuff was?
If you search the articles on this webiste for the steroid manifesto part one and two you will find that certain studies have shown small amounts (200mg per week) test are basically good for your health.
I am certainly no expert, nor do I need or claim to be as I only do very basic cycles, but the question “are steroids bad for you” is a “how long is a peice of string” type question. Users cycles differ greatly, personally I would rather take 750mg test per week (with AI and proper pct) than smoke 20 cigarettes a day and drink 40 pints of lager a week (something many people do then preach about the dangers of aas and other substances they know niothing about)
A pro bodybuilders usage would not be limited to AAS and would include HGH, insulin and a ton of other crap, my friend also uses AAS and has a fetish for dianabol, anadrol and deca, where as I do not use oral steroids and stick only to test (I’ve used tren once and winstrol once for 6 weeks, so I’m not too worried about liver failure)
My understanding is that anything over a HRT dose of AAS is not going to do you any good, and after a cycle your body may well not be the same again, but if you can’t do the time dont do the crime. There is also another interesting article called steroids forever you may enjoy reading.
If he has a hard time eating, point his toward epistane. It’s sold by IBE I think, although it’s incredibly expensive. It is not THAT effective, but it helps with drier gains (less water retention).
The main point here is that you said your friend can’t eat. From what I’ve read about it, it can make you ravenous. This will help him more than any other steroid I’m sure.

He needs to learn how to eat naturally. Why suggest this? So he can gain 6-10lbs (if that) on epistane, then once he comes off let him lose it all because his hunger’s gone?

Try again.
I made the suggestion because if he’s DEAD SET on using, he might as well use something that’s going to make him eat. If he loses it when he comes off with this, he’ll lose it coming off with others anyway.
