I’m on .2 (200mg) E3D…all my levels seem to be fine from previous tests. I don’t feel like I have it dialed in because I’m having a ton of anxiety, self doubt, all the stuff that seemed to go away when I first started TRT. Now tonight I had an awful nightmare and woke my whole family up screaming…what the heck happened?
Damn dude, sounds like you have a desk job at an engineering firm or something.
Eh…kind of…definitely concerned with my stress levels and anxiety…depression is setting in now too. This was stuff TRT seemed to almost cute for me previously…
I’m not clear on how much testosterone you’re taking. Does this mean 0.2mL of 200mg/mL E3D? Or are you taking 200mg E3D?
Sorry I don’t know how to say it very well. Here is my script:
testosterone cypionate 200 mg/mL injection
Inject 0.2 cc of testosterone subcutaneously twice weekly.
I should say I switched to IM about 8 months ago. That helped with the estradiol
So 80mg/week? How long have you been on this dose, and how long have you been on TRT?
If this is your first go, you’re probably not getting enough. That is a very low dose to start at.
Can you tell us more if your history with TRT and maybe post some blood work from before TRT and now?
So my journey started in 2018…I was at a baseline of 400-something. Got TRT .3, twice a week. I’d do Monday and Thursdays. It started out great then I grew tired of it and got off in late summer 2019.
Flash forward to Spring of 2020, I was tired of seeing the unmotivated, low self confidence, and just the lower level of myself. I recalled how TRT felt and helped all that anxiety and self doubt go away. Called the doc and got back on. Gives me the same orders…, .3 twice a week…well I’ve done my homework on here and I knew there was a lot of positive feedback to move to IM and to do it number of days, not weeks for TRT, so I moved to IM, E3D…that move I saw a lot of the hard nipples, high Ed stradiol number all go away. Felt like the right move…now after 8 months I’m not doing well. Now the night terrors but overall the anxiety, confidence and just feeling good overall is gone. I know it’s a low dosage but higher dosage I’m afraid makes me a complete dick.
What are your lab values currently? High testosterone doesn’t make you a complete dick, it’s usually the opposite, but other hormone imbalances can, maybe we can figure that out.
What is your Total T, free T or SHBG, E2? Have you had your thyroid checked at all?
Here was my must recent lab which I did on the afternoon of the night before my next shot which means the number should be lower but I was surprised at how much lower it was this time in April 20th
Your E2 is crashed man. Are you on an AI?
No I’m not
I’m betting that’s your issue (not that you’re not taking an AI, but that your E2 is that low). Is it possible for you to get another lab of your E2? Get the sensitive E2. You need to confirm this.
How do I do that? Just ask them for a lab and ask for sensitive E2?
What are the ramifications of this?
Should I increase my dosage or lower it?
Too high T on the presence of little e2 can cause anxiety from what I’ve rad. Personally never experienced it.
You might be better with less regular shots… although I don’t recall seeing your SHBG up in those labs? Looking at your free t I’m guessing its relatively low.
Also- you say you’re not on an ai but previous labs had your e2 elevated not crashed…
Whats happened inbetween? Are you taking loads of zinc every day?
That’s a good question because I honestly don’t know why it crashed all of the sudden. When I asked someone on here they said raise the amount I inject.
I do know this…the night terror scared the shit out of me…I’ve scared my wife for life.
Redo the e2 test. If it confirms then go back to your physician for advice.
Advice on here will be to inject less frequently so for example rather than the 40mg you are doing e3d you could try 80mg e6d.
You were talking in cc and its helpful to talk in mg.
Your test has 200mg per ml so when you inject 0.2ml you get 0.2 x 200 so 40mg test.
I am not for one minute advising you to try less frequent injections - I’m not a physician but I am telling you what the advice is you will hear on here.
However- without shbg values be cautious before doing anything and speak to your physician about the labs.
Redo the e2!
