Has anything “happened” recently? Extra stress? Cold? Allergies? Diarrhea? Toothache? Anything?
Anything different? Maybe eat something you don’t usually eat?
Nothing major, preparing for a newborn is stressful but it’s nothing I couldn’t handle when I was feeling well. I had allergy testing done but nothing food-related presented itself. Doesn’t mean there’s nothing there but nothing I could find immediately.
@enackers As far as the cream is concerned, do you get a “rush,” so-to-speak, from it? When I was on a larger dose I could feel the surge of the testosterone on injection day. That was part of my problem, that surge didn’t feel good as it does for others, I get panic attacks, sweating, insomnia and my heart races for days on end. I want to try the cream but this is what I fear from it since it peaks so rapidly.
No not really. You feel when it absorbs but no anxiety or rush similar to when I was taking large injections or even micro dosing.
Keep in mind I’m taking allot more than you’ll ever take as well ![]()
@bkb333 was on cream. Check out his question above about the rush and Im. You just switched to IM from cream and could give him a good idea of what you experienced. Although your physiology is a polar opposite of his haha. Low shbg vs high shbg.
I’m normal i think… who knows. Never checked. I really don’t want to. It’ll just put more ideas in me and are not even a concern as of now.
God bless your family. Best of health and happiness with your newborn.
Ahhh, so you did have anxiety on injections? Hearing you say this gives me some hope about the cream.
Thanks for tagging him.
Good call, the mind is powerful and what you feed it generally grows.
Thanks man! Can’t wait to meet her!
Yah when I was on injections I would feel a weird sense of anxiety. Not sure if it’s anxiety but I think so. I would also feel an increase in sensory perception. I was more aware and I could feel my ears, eyes and etc tense up when I would go in a busy Restaraunt or something. I would almost want to tell everyone to stop talking becuse it was … Let’s call it sensory overload. My brain was on fire…
I think that’s just going to happen as hormones flux. The other day it happened again but it was 10% of anything I experienced in the first couple months.
Allot of folks get this on trt. It passes and why the guys always suggest people give it time. I’ve seen so many guys comment on it when they start around here.
If I were to put a word on the two I would say The cream just feels more smooth and clean. The T injections felt anything but.
I can relate to this, when my body doesn’t like the amount of T in my system I feel “raw,” like everything is turned up to 100 and every nerve is primed, it’s overwhelming.
Lol, yeah, opposite physiologies! I think the advice above is all good…I would give the scrotal cream a shot, and wouldn’t mess with an AI until all other options are exhausted, but I would keep that door open for down the road, just because your situation seems so unique. I would also emphasize what the others said, that this might be at least somewhat related to stress/lifestyle. Sleep seems like a key component.
As far as the “rush,” @jpt365, here’s what I can tell you: I applied scrotal cream for about 6 weeks. I wouldn’t feel anything noticeably negative after applying the cream. In fact, I couldn’t really tie any of my feelings back to the exact application time. But I did feel two “surges” on the cream, random points in my treatment where my libido and sense of well-being were off the charts! Unfortunately, these both only lasted a few days. I would’ve loved to get to a point where I felt like that constantly. But I second what @enackers said: you definitely aren’t going to feel any anxiety from scrotal cream, at least from my experience.
I’m still figuring out the best protocol for my (high-SHBG) body and have switched to IM. But I do think the scrotal cream will prove to be a great option for a lot of guys, and it might be something I reconsider down the road, perhaps in combination with IM. And I think it’ll be a good fit for you, at least something to try, for sure.
Out of curiosity, why’d you add thyroid? I’ve been debating whether I should add Armour Thyroid because I’ve heard good things.
The only thyroid lab value I have is TSH to Free T4 (0.45-4.5) --1.89. Not sure if that’s informative at all, haha.
@jpt365, I’ll throw out a few things, but you are probably right about making any changes at this time. Things will be a little hectic in your life so it may be next to impossible to fairly evaluate a new approach.
I think you need higher test levels. I would consider a Lipoderm transdermal cream. Some noted doctors (Neal Rouzier in particular) use primarily scrotal creams. He does not use AIs with his patients, so I doubt he uses them for E2 reasons. You can maintain higher levels with them. Were you gaining bodyweight? I would hold off on the AI and see how you respond to the cream.
Good luck with the birth.
Totally agree, I can’t rule this out I just “feel” like it’s not my problem because this stuff has always happened to me no matter the level of stress in my life at the time or how great I’m sleeping.
We probably all know exactly what you’re talking about haha. I miss those huge bursts of “fuck yeah!” Glad to hear you guys are of the opinion that the cream doesn’t cause anxiety.
Mind if I ask what prompted the switch?
@highpull thanks for the well-wishes!
Nope, I was actually cutting down and lost about 5 pounds. Noticed my weight shot back up within two days and my midsection bloated up and started retaining water. I’m holding off on the AI, I have a message in to Defy right now and I’m waiting for a consult. I did, however, take 200mg DIM yesterday. The only thing is when I take it it gives me splitting headaches.
For sure. I made it mainly due to convenience. I thought the cream would be more convenient, but it wasn’t (for me). I’d have to plan shower/sex/workout times around it, and wait for it to dry 2X a day, and plan it out so I wouldn’t come in contact with my wife. There were just too many headaches. So far, I’ve found injections (just 2X a week) way more convenient, and totally painless.
Trt wasn’t working for me at all and after 3 months my new doc said the thyroid is probably why. I started thyroid and it all came together/ thank god.
And this is what concerns me about the switch as well. How long is the drying time? Do you legit have to stand there with your balls drying in the wind before going about your business? How long do you have to wait before having sex?
The sex question depends on whom you ask. I’d say a couple hours, at least, to be safe. Others don’t worry about it. Others avoid cream altogether for this reason.
It takes about 10-15 minutes to dry, which doesn’t sound like much but can be an inconvenience, especially when it’s 2X a day. And yes, you have to stand there with your balls drying in the wind.
Did you have lab values that suggested that? Wondering what tests I’d need to have done to know if it could help me.
