"In 1967, Report from Iron Mountain, said to be the anonymous work of John Kenneth Galbraith, stated: “It may be…that gross POLLUTION of the environment can eventually replace the possibility of mass destruction by nuclear weapons as the principal APPARENT threat to the survival of the species.”
(The Cold War and Arms Race between East and West with the “Summit Meetings” was merely the Hegelian tool of thesis and antithesis to produce a synthesis whereby Russia and the West could be brought together in One World Government. There was never any real threat of nuclear war. Just a costly realistic pantomime for the human cattle).
Arnold Toynbee once said: “I do feel that some minimum of GLOBAL GOVERNMENT to abolish war, to cope with POLLUTION, is absolutely necessary.”
(Toynbee was either one of the suckers, or one of our deceivers)."
--- Taylor Caldwell
Always nice to know what the libs are up to and why all this nonsense about global warming. Instead of control through fear of nukes, now we are controlled by fear of pollution.

So tell me, how relevant are quotes dating back a good 4 decades? I mean, we can all pull up random crap from the 70s said by people back then and use it for our arguments. Wasn’t Bush Jr. busy snorting coke and getting DUIs back then?
Galbraith was a ‘high priest’ of the elite. He is describing how this elite will maintain or increase its influence TODAY, by using pollution as an issue of fear. He was an insider so his words have meaning.
War is becoming inefficient as an instrument of change. Technology is shifting the advantage to the defense. Every little group can better defend itself with stingers and suicide bombers. The problem is: how to rule such people?
“Proposed replacements for war included: a comprehensive social-welfare program, an OPEN-ended space program aimed at UNREACHABLE targets, a permanent inspection program for disarmament, an international police force, an EXTRATERRESTRIAL threat, massive global POLLUTION, fictitious ALTERNATIVE enemies, ENSLAVEMENT programs derived from the Peace Corps model, new religious and other mythologies, socially oriented BLOOD games, and a program of eugenics. Later JOHN KENNETH GALBRAITH said he was “a member of the conspiracy” that produced the book.”

Honestly, I think the Bush guys have got 1 up on those elite you mention. Using fear, terrorism, and security as a means of control seems a helluva lot easier imho.

Unless he made all the statements you quoted, he isn’t saying what you seem to think he is saying.
Or, are you suggesting that we should simply shrug off government and all live happily together in our sandals in Shangri La?

When an ‘insider’ speaks, we should listen. Wars for profit and for keeping control of populations is becoming obsolete through its own efficiencies. So, make people dependent upon government through social welfare programs, pollution control, and on and on.
I know its hard to grasp but things like Social Security, food stamps, welfare, are NOT designed to help anyone. They make paople dependent upon that check in the mail. Why do you think its so hard, for example, for someone to get off of welfare? ITS DESIGNED THAT WAY! Do you really think politicians and their elite masters care about old people, for ex.? LOL! If they really did, they’d have made the FICA deduction go into investments and allow inheritance of the accumulated wealth.
Under the mask of altruism lies the face of true evil.
