Jesus Rode a Dinosaur

Treat people well. Try to do what you know is right. Feel sorry for shit you do wrong. Be thankful for your existance.

Is that too complex for you?

YES!! FUCKING YES! ABOSOFUCKINGOUTELY!!!

It took you two months and five different threads to realize this?

I think they can stand in line beside the fundamental Koran literalists blowing themselves up for a chance at finding a virgin.

Great, now I probably have a Fatwah against me too.

I have to agree with Vroom and Irish. You guys are off your rocker.

Yes.
Catholics don’t take the Bible literaly and except
(you mean “accept”)
human evolution which completely contradicts the Bible, right?
That’s because they embarrassed themselves enough over the years believing what you believe right now.
I have a question for the people that believe in God but don’t believe that we should take every part of the Bible seriously. If we aren’t supposed to take it literaly and we are supposed to pick and choose what part we want to follow and believe, then do you believe that we will all be judged someday?

If we are being judged, how is God going to judge us if what he really wanted us to do is follow only the parts that made sense to us and whatever we felt like? What kind of a whishy washy god do you think we have?
I think you pretty well summed up how barbaric is the whole “being tortured forever by a loving God because you didn’t quite have the ability to stick your brain up your ass and take word-for-word a bunch of fables that were written thousands of years ago.”

By the way, most Jews, you know the ones who actually wrote the Old Testament… most of them regard Genesis as a symbolic work, representing the underlying truth of man’s condition and relationship with God. Maybe you should talk to a rabbi, unless you’re afraid Christ will get mad at you because they killed him.

Did any of your proffesors tell you to only study what made sense to you and what you wanted to believe? Or did they tell you what the topic to a test would be and the only way to pass it would to be proficiant.
The good ones taught how to examine ideas critically and develop our own conclusions. Try it sometimes!

Also, get a dictionary. It has bad words in it, but you can cross them out when God’s not looking.

It’s impolite to answer a question with a question. From your response, though, I assume you believe God put the Grand Canyon down pre-formed–erosion be damned.

All of the fundamental Bible Christians that I have ever known were caring, good people.

I’ve never known any of them to want to blow thousands of people up or killing themselves???

Whoa! Now that’s crazy talk!!! Next you’ll be saying that water can erode rocks given enough time…

I’m very sorry that I typed except instead of accept. It was an accident but thank you for correcting me. I’m sure you never make any simple mistakes like this…

The Bible doesn’t say that we will be burning in hell for all eternity. In fact, it is my belief and the belief of many fundamental Bible Christians that when the Lord returns hell or “hell fire” will be the thing that actually burnes people out of existence. So hell is not an actuall place.

I don’t know what God did. I’m not understanding what you are asking. The doubters?

The fact they are slightly more subtle doesn’t make them any less annoying…

It’s amazing how Christians get accused of being judgmental, yet, the non believers will make statements like these. Why do you?

I haven’t judged you. I don’t know you. I’m sure if we were in person, we would be able to talk and discuss it on good terms.

I think people get really worked up in discussions over the internet because there is no consequence to doing so. I have friends that absolutely don’t believe in God and believe fully in evolution and the whole nine yards. We get along great. I don’t judge them and push my beliefs on them. I tell them about what I believe and they tell me what they believe. Not a huge issue.

I’m not sure you qualify as a fundamentalist then… sorry.

I am, whatever I say I am. If I wasn’t then why would I say I am.

Yes, and by that logic, did I mention I can bench 800 lbs?

Fair enough, E… What one believes about Genesis is irrelevant if you follow the principles outlined by St. Vroom above. But I’d like to point out that non-christians are under no obligation NOT to be judgmental, whereas you’ve been told, "Judge not, lest ye be judged… "

So, technically, you are held to a higher standard that the rest of us slobs.

It is my belief that the principles of the Torah/Bible are the most important things to take away from one’s association with it… If there is a judgment after our life here on the internet is over, I believe we’ll be judged by how we lived according to those principles, not that whether we memorized the correct set of facts.

It was a joke vroom. Haven’t you ever heard that Eminem song?

Anyways, I like your posts man, despite the fact that I don’t always agree with you.

Either it took 6,000 years to carve the damn thing or God made it pre-formed (if your book of fairy tales is correct), OR it took the millions of years science says it did to carve. Which option do you choose?
