Jesus Rode a Dinosaur

It is interesting that you claim to know so much about God, yet know so little about the Bible. You will reap what you sow.

What is there to know except that there is no such a thing as “a God” and that the Bible is just an old book that is mistakenly taken seriously by well-indoctrinated people?

Please Pookie, enlighten us. What proof do you have that there is no God? I would like to see the 100% certain, undeniable, infallable, absolute proof.

You make ignorant blanket statements because you have developed your own conclusions without facts. You belong in the athiest malignicy camp.

I know, I got frustrated terribleivan’s ridiculous responses. I was being facetious…

I realize that a true follower of the teachings of Christ would never say that. I mean, Jesus was a long-haired sandal-wearing hippie who preached peace and love. Its pretty ironic when you realize how blood-thirsty the religious right is…

I think Jesus’s philosophy is very admirable, I just rarely see it being implemented by his followers. You know, turning the other cheek, humility, and all that. Mostly I just hear about my eternity in hell, and how I better get on my knees and worship or else.[/quote]

If you find the philosophy of Jesus admirable, then why don’t you follow it? Better yet, why don’t you read the Bible and actually learn what it says. I bet you haven’t even opened the cover, yet you pretend to be an expert.

When have I ever claimed to be a bible expert?

Actually, I do my best to live my life without harming others, and I am a very humble person. I have a lot of empathy for others, and go out of my way to help those in need. It has nothing to do with religion, its just how I think everyone should live. You said yourself that because of our “vile and blasphemous” behavior, you would like to see harm done to us atheists. However, when you insult me and threaten me with eternal damnation, I feel no such animosity towards you. I just get annoyed, and hope that you eventually mature and realize that you are behaving like a child.

Please read flyingemu’s post addressed to me, and see how he expressed himself with maturity and respect. Give it a try.

The reason my replies to your posts are so over the top is because you bring out the absurdity in people through your disconnect with reality. Its contagious.

May Allah bless you and have mercy on your infidel soul!

I have no such proof. It’s simply the conclusion I come too after considering all the available facts.

You can reach a different conclusion if you prefer.

I give my personal opinion on matters, same as everyone else does. Unless you can give us – how do you put it? – “the 100% certain, undeniable, infallable (sic), absolute proof” that God exists, that Jesus was his son and that the Bible is the True Word of God.

If you’ve got proof, we could settle it once and for all and get back to discussing other fun issues like abortion, euthanasia and gun control.

Oh, and the words are spelled “atheist”, “infallible” and “malignancy” although for malignancy, on top of not being able to spell it, I don’t think you know what it means.

I’ll give you a word to look up - “faith” - if you can figure out what it means, you may be able to understand God. Don’t confuse it with blind faith. I would call it reasoned faith.

Also, your feeble attempts to discredit me for failure to spell check my posts are pathetic. Unlike you, I have more important things to do than run spell check every time I post on T-Nation. Last time I checked, this wasn’t school and I’m not being graded. If the point of my verbage comes across to the reader, then the communication I intended has passed. What a poor attempt to avoid the issues.

Main Entry: faith
Pronunciation: 'fAth
Function: noun

Inflected Form(s): plural faiths /'fAths, sometimes 'fA[th]z/

Etymology: Middle English feith, from Old French feid, foi, from Latin fides; akin to Latin fidere to trust

1 a : allegiance to duty or a person : LOYALTY
b (1) : fidelity to one’s promises (2) : sincerity of intentions

2 a (1) : belief and trust in and loyalty to God (2) : belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion
b (1) : firm belief in something for which there is no proof (2) : complete trust

3 : something that is believed especially with strong conviction; especially : a system of religious beliefs

synonym see BELIEF

  • in faith : without doubt or question : VERILY

You go around asking people for 100% proof for their beliefs and then you talk about faith, which is belief without doubt or question, in something for which there is no proof.

So 0% proof is good enough for your beliefs, but you ask 100% of others for theirs?

Yes, you’re quite the reasoned man. Why don’t you finish high school first, and come back once you’ve learned to articulate a coherent thought.

I agree, as the Bible clearly says “it is impossible to please God without faith.” Hence, faith will always have to trump…whatever.

However, what you are quite wrong about is your conclusion regarding Jesus Christ.

There is a great deal of something called “evidence” which you refuse to beleive because your “faith” is in wrapping your arms around the concept that there is no Jesus Christ, or God for that matter.

As I have told you in prior posts. We all have faith, it’s just a matter of what we believe.

Where did you get the idea that the Bible had 0% proof as to its truth in regard to the doctrine of faith in God. You claimed to know that God doesn’t exist with absolute certainty. You statement was definitive. Do I need to remind you of what you said. Here it is:

Pookie says: “What is there to know except that there is no such a thing as “a God” and that the Bible is just an old book that is mistakenly taken seriously by well-indoctrinated people?”

You question my intelligence, yet you say some pretty stupid things. I’m just calling you out on it. Don’t get mad about it. Learn from it - if you are capable of learning from your mistakes.

I don’t think it takes much to bring out the fool in you, but if it is a presumed disconnect with reality that is in question, perhaps you should address it. Instead you do your little name-calling. Typical of many atheists I’ve encountered.

FYI - two threads about evolution go on, and you have yet to provide any credible evidence that evolution is factual. And you think I’m disconnected? LOL. You must be delusional.

Exactly. My child has an easier time understanding faith than pookie. It’s really pretty sad.

Except ye become as little children and be converted, you shall in no wise enter the kingdom of heaven.

Until his pride is broken, he will remain a fool.
