This is just plain silly but unsurprising coming from an American. Yeah, they get paid but for what, making themselves look like pathetic embarrassments? They make themselves look foolish, they make their family and culture look foolish and as the most recent season exemplified, they make their country look foolish. MTV basically paid them to go abroad and further diminish the USA’s international reputation.

So yes, they are still losers no matter how much short-term dough they’re getting. As they say: a dressed up turd is still a turd. [/quote]

Hey go fuck yourself with your anti-American rhetoric…

  1. Who says they are representing a culture, you are misinformed. Snookie is from South America, Ronny is half Puerto Rican and Jwow is fucking Irish so what culture are you referring to? American culture, if you base American Culture on reality Television then you are sorely misinformed but “unsurprising” coming from an misinformed non-American.

Reality TV makes money off of the most over the top personalities you can find, NOT from your normal American young person. With that being said While Snookie, Deena and the Situation are obvious turnoffs, what are the other cast mates doing that is so ridiculous, dancing? trying to pick up girls, fighting? Thats basically what happens in any country when you go out…what makes you so self righteous? Im sure whatever country your from plays only educational shows with substance (turn on saracasm detector).

FWIW most Americans do not like these kids either, again it is jealousy and envy. You shit on Americans and Your so called knowledge of American culture yet you spend time on a American website and comment on American TV, seems like your eating it up. Your avi represents an American Icon…so your a hypocrite.

I have been to all those bars on the Jersey Shore, and yeah I have gone tanning and like to go to the gym. On top of that Ill wear a tight shirt to these bars at the Shore…but your gonna judge me as a tool because every once in a while I like to have a good time and act a fool.

I have accomplished a ton in my life and am proud father, upstanding citizen and American and live in the epicenter of guidoville (staten island)…some of my friends do dress like those in Jersey Shore but they are also doctors, law enforcement officers and business owners, but you see Ed Hardy and affliction and are ready to judge and have no clue how educated and well versed in life they really are.

fuck you and your high horse…

Seems like you have some reading comprehension problems there mate. I actually don’t give a fuck about you or your friends, my post was a direct response to the comment I quoted. “Coming from an American” meant mainly considering money - yes the Jersey Shore people get paid a lot BUT…

Get it now?

I’m very surprised you think I’m un-american considering everything in your post essentially agrees with what I’m saying. They went to Italy because the show is about the crazy adventures of a group of ‘guidos’ and ‘guidettes.’ Those terms refer to Italian American even though, like you said, not all of them are from Italy. Yet the show has a heavy Italian background in every season. That’s why when MTV first put out the show the association representing Italian Americans completely condemned them. And that’s also why they were mocked in Italy.

I’m talking the JS cast not you or anyone else. I think I get why you’re senstive; you’re from that area and you empathise with those people. But there’s no way you could honestly think Sitch and the crew don’t act like buffoons.

It wasnt your comments regarding the Jersey Shore cast that he found offensive, it was your “coming from an american” comment, which to me and im sure many other people here, just seems plain ignorant, regardless of the subject matter.

And regardless what country you are from, im sure there are just as many people willing to flash their genitals at nightclubs and wear ridiculous clothing for the kind of money these guys get. Greed’s been around on the other side of the sea long before America was discovered.

C’mon man, there aint a billion people in this world today that are so in love with their country and culture that you could honestly believe thats the sole reason for the hate these guys get. Im betting more people despise the JS cast out of envy/jealousy rather than nationalism.

No reading comprehension problems on my part…mate.

Your comment “unsurprising coming from an American” absolutely is a negative connotation on American culture on a whole

coupled with …

“Diminishing American reputation abroad” comment almost certainly gives the idea that the American reputation is based on a fucking ridiculous reality show. One that you obviously watch somewhat.

I don’t expect nor do I want you to give a fuck about my friends or myself, I was attempting to illustrate a point. Which is hypothetically, if you saw some of my friends who dress similarly to the JS cast you will automatically think they are assholes when in fact they are much more than true religion jeans and Affliction shirts…they have much more going on than superficial attributes.

On top of that, this is entertainment, and should be viewed as such, it doesent define a damn thing much less American culture on a whole. Im sure New Zealand (if that is where you are from) has shows that should be just taken as entertainment and not how natives are.

Well at least things got a little more civil.

However, you’re still deviating from the original post I responded to, which was something a long the lines of ‘the JS cast are reasonably fit and make money so they are not buffoons.’ Now that, to me, is a truly ignorant statement that I said is typical from an American view-point where someone is automatically viewed as being successful if they have money. Truth is, if someone wants to embarrass themselves and MORE just for money, then they aren’t any better than they were before they had the money. The JS cast are celebrities in America right? It’s not an indictment on the American people but when you give us Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, Tiger Woods and god knows who and how many else what do you expect?

You and Matty, as Americans probably don’t travel outside the country that much so you might not know know America’s reputation around the world isn’t that flash. Travel around Europe and the Middle-East and I think you’ll know what I mean. That’s why I said “further” impair America’s reputation in regards to the JS cast in Italy.

I find it hard to believe people are envious at Snooki, The Situation and the others. I think the hate comes from the money and celebrity status these guys get.

To a certain degree they are successful, and I do not believe any adult of average intelligence would want to be them, to say they are not a success because you view them as buffoons is ignorant. The Situation is now worth millions before the show he had applied for unemployment benefits, he is or was a success in that aspect.

Again the acting a fool for money is not just an American thing.

For every American celebrity you mentioned I could give you the same amount that are considered gods the world over (Madonna, Jerry Lewis, Lady Gaga, Brad Pitt etc) so why do non Americans simply view their opinions of us with the “negative” celebrities.

I gather that I am older than you, these Anti-American feelings have been going on alot longer than you have even lived this is not new and will never change. Oddly enough when I have traveled to Europe I was treated well and with respect. Living in NYC where foreigners are plentiful I have helped and been nothing but respectful when they had asked for help…yet still I hear of the usual suspect countries “hating” us. It tells me that it will never change…we could provide the world with the next Mother Theresa and it wouldnt change.

B.T. dubs, Snooki got fairly decent looking.

Though it’s too bad her overstretched twat probably tastes like an overused ashtray that’s been steeping in cheap alcohol for the better part of a decade.

i would def hit that

It appears my other comment isn’t in good enough taste to post, so allow me to rephrase with a little more class:

“Though it should certainly go without saying that her overextended primary sexual genitalia hath most undoubtedly been permanently struck with the pungent aroma of an overburdened receptacle for tobacco residue that has had the distinct privilege of soaking in inexpensive, bathtub-brewed liqueor for the greater part of this past score of years.”

plz don’t stop

I know, I’m almost there, too…

Uno mas for teh big guy.

Then, you Google.

She’s pretty cute when she’s skinny. She was in decent shape at the start of the Italy season, then she got fatter throughout the show.

I would have smashed that shit during season 1. She was a Pittsburgh Nickel then, which is good enough for me and Jack Daniels.

woodplow/10

I would hop on the snook train

So ummm i think the new season starts tonight - YouTube
