Jeans Advise

I’ve worn a kilt and they’re surprsingly heavy…I mean that they won’t flutter up in a breeze or anything like that.

I remember a website was selling "urban kilts’ or something and they came in colors other than tartan.

Are the kilts lined on the inside?

I mean, they’re heavy wool, right? And they’re scratchy if they’re not lined?

How do they attach at the top… like a pair of pants with a zipper/buttons?

Sportkilts are unlined poly-viscose or microfiber with a velcro closure. Not itchy at all and fairly light weight (especially the microfiber “Hiking Kilt”).

Edit - I believe they were first designed with Highland Games competitors in mind. Hence the “Sport”. As such they are comfortable and have a slight amount of stretch around the waist to facilitate movement.

Long enough that there were too many civil posts…when I clicked I expected a facepalm pic and a bunch of people swearing at the OP.

I had to hold myself back from saying something about Planet Fitness and the Shakeweight.
This.

I by no means expected to see so many rational, civil responses to the age old “pants too tight since my legs got swole” dilemma. I’m a little confused.

The kilt really is an excellent and underrated solution. Serious.
This thread started off in the PL section. You can clearly see when it got moved over to GAL.

Ah, annnnnnnd… there it is. Makes sense now.

Thanks.

I see, so they’re kind of the Adidas (or CK) of the kilt world. Are any of them for cold-weather?

I have some scrap fabric around here so I could theoretically make myself a kilt, but even so, I don’t think I’d ever be able to wear it out of the house.

Plus, my jeans still kinda sorta fit if I don’t try to use the pockets much.

I think I had to stop wearing jeans once the squat went up to around 415 for reps. Good riddance, jeans suck!!

I have a few sportkilts and I love them. They’re not only comfy but easy to clean, light and comfortable and damn to the ladies love a man in a kilt.

i can’t really help with jeans but if you find you’re in the market for Khakis or dress pants I can help out as my company makes made to measure clothing. PM me for the link so I don’t look like a product whoring troll.
