Something that baffles me is why the people like this who are sexual deviants that do terrible things don’t masturbate the fuck out of themselves and then they should hopefully kill that urge.

He did. He had hundreds of DVDs of this stuff.
Plus, I believe that there are studies that suggest masturbating to certain genres increases ones urge to experience it in real life.

This is correct, or at least it can maintain the focus on it rather than building an attachment to another type of attraction.

yeah some of the jokes in this thread have been pretty fucking funny.

Which brings the question: is anything not funny? Like, obviously paedophilia is rough and not a laughing matter, but yet we still find the jokes funny.

Where’s the line? What topics are off limits?
No topics are off limits.
There will always be someone who gets offended at any possible type of joke, so by default, it’s open season on everything.
It’s a give and take thing, so unless you’re willing to never laugh at anything, you shouldn’t get offended because someone else finds something funny and you don’t.
that is exactly my position as well

There is no line, but if your topic is rape, pedophilia, the holocaust, beheading of reporters, your joke needs to be tight, or else it will bomb.

However, if you can get people to laugh in spite of themselves…

“Pedophilia…huh…isn’t that a pretty big word for a twelve year old?”

Ummmm…it’s not like he woke up one day and decided to become a pedophile.
If this post implies what I think it does, then it is damn clever (seriously).

The rule is , if it’s genuinely funny, it’s funny.

The problem is some people are too lax with that definition and like to use jokes purely to harm.
Like racist jokes can be funny if it’s because they’re cleverly using the stereotype against itself and not just done to mock whatever group. There are very very few good ones, I think.

They need to be original too. You can’t just say “If that (stupid woman from the news) got raped she’d be lucky!” as that’s just not plain good enough.

About the only rape joke I ever liked was when Sacha Baron Cohen was doing Borat and he was pretending to be drunk and told someone that his mother never really loved him and she once said she wished she’d been raped by someone else.
Even that joke is one where instead of really laughing I did an “OH HOOOO HOOO!” like Ed McMahon sort of thing.
