As I read more and more about the thread “Politically Incorrect jokes” I wonder “Is this the way these people interact irl?” For example,I go to HS. Not the very place you`d think for PC-ness or even people consideration or feelings. I sit with my group of friends and we tell jokes and play out stereotypes and racist antedotes. There really never seems to be a limit to what we joke about. Blacks,Jews,Rapes,Holocaust,Abortion, ect., I might get heat from people on this board about the above subject but im simply being honest. All for the sake for a few cheap laughs I suppose. Anyway, are you and your friends ok with Politically Incorrect jokes? Is there a limit to what you joke about?
What are “racist antedotes”?
Personally, I don’t like political correctness to a certain degree, but there is a limit to how far you can take something. The problem is someone always takes it too far, and that’s when shit goes down.
I honestly take no offence when people “joke” about something that relates to me (Polish or SA jokes), as long as it is meant as a joke. Then there are those people that have an agenda behind what they say.
Example:
The English joke about immigrants in the UK - east europeans and such - and while most of them are kidding, a lot REALLY do have a lot against them. When they makes jokes in that respect, it’s not funny anymore.
As long as you include your own as well then you’re joking. If you can laugh at yourself as well then it’s joking around other wise it’s just making fun of others.
I’ve heard most of my jokes about Mexicans from Mexicans.
Some people get offended by these types of things. Those people are referred to as Liberals. Liberals are bad and that is not something to joke about.
I’m not racist…I fucking hate everyone…damn canadians…damn mexicans…damn white people…fuckin skanks
Jaeger-Bombs.
My feeling is that if you can dish it out, be sure as shit ready to take it. I dont mind laughing at myself or any of my friends either.
Plus, self depricating humor is the best. Well, second best. First being those politically incorrect jokes you’re talking about.
I printed out almost the entire thread to study later. Funny stuff.
IMHO whether or not words or actions are considered offensive is based on the intent of the person using them. A joke is a joke, no matter how crude or insulting. But if you’re going to use PI humor, prepare to get the same right back at you. Being able to laugh at yourself is key.

Ahhh. The answer to all life’s problems lies in Jager.
Scotch is good, also.
People these days need to lighten up and stop being offended at everything. Our society has become so freakin’ pussified it’s not even funny.
People are now being offended for other people!
“You aren’t offended by that? Well, I’m offended for you!”
Everyone needs to chill the fark out.
My sense of humor in real life consists pretty much entirely of being inappropriate - sometimes offensively so, sometimes just wilfully misinterpreting what people say.

I told you guys before, stop making fun of my boyfriend!
No topic is really out of bounds for me and SOME of my friends. While we usually stick with the usual groups (racial, ethnic, gender, mentally/physically disabled), we have also made jokes about things like V-Tech and 9/11. While I would never make them in mixed company or in people who would be offended, me and a few of my friends have similar senses of humor.
It’s like everything - there’s a time and a place.
I tell my muslim friends to go blow something up, my jewish friends their noses are big because air is free, my black friends they are fast because their ancestors had to run from lions and slave traders, my mexican friends they are dirty, and my white friends they are stupid hicks…now am I racist?? No, but it’s funny as shit.

Problem is that none of these things are particularly funny. They’re tired and unoriginal. No matter how funny something was the first time, it’s not funny the fiftieth. I hear people make the same stupid jokes all the time and then think I’m easily offended because I don’t laugh and look at them like the retards they are. I’m not over-sensitive, it’s just that everybody makes the same lame jokes as you (not you personally, just “offensive” or racial jokers in general) and thinks they’re being hilarious.

For someone who’s ragging on political correctness, you couldnt have said “fuck” at the end of your post?
Another thing I’ll include, is that I never will pick on ONE particular person for whatever reason. I’ll tell stereotypical jokes, but wont single out one particular person.
That may sound backwards, but I guess it makes sense to me somehow.

I agree… unless it’s a baby getting kicked by a breakdancer.
I believe “politically incorrect jokes” not being taboo anymore is when the world will finally be sane. There’re so many offensive, harmful things in the world, if you can’t laugh at an obvious joke then you just won’t survive.
