January the 20th might be the end of the world, but hopefully the birth of a new one

I don’t think that specific predictions as to how things will go down are possible to make, since the leader of the West is an unpredictable clown, the Stalin wannabe in the east is a deranged villain whose supporter North-Korea is a nightmarish, ticking bomb and China, whatever the fuck it might decide to do, will soon (probably a matter of not even 5 years) be more powerful than USA. In essence; Much of Europe is in grave danger; USA might be turned inside out and upside down by both internal tensions and external factors; the middle east is hell on earth. Meanwhile, South America is ruled by cartels and Africa is still perpetually a land of wars, starvation and lack of education, which is periodically visited by A-list actors who are there for a “good cause”. All of this, despite the fact that even 10% of the combined wealth of the richest individuals on earth could build schools in every developing country on the earth, fill it with teachers, build up the infrastructure and give them a chance to catch up with the 1st world countries. This way, the richest would barely even notice that drop in their comfort level. But the worst-off would escape literal daily torture.

This is a world ran by greed, insanity and stupidity, and all I can see it as is a giant, dying star that has been expanding slowly since the end of the cold war and the temporary “peace” we had and is now at the brink of going supernova. WWII will be like a schoolyard scuffle in comparison.

Yet, every dying star gives new life. And I do believe that eventually, we will reach a state of peace, that is truly worldwide and permanent. Might be the stupidest thing I’ve ever said, but I feel it. We just need to fuck each other really hard, one last time, and it will be our final lesson.

Not sure if i’m going to survive it, but I’d gladly die fighting for it, if it meant that all this shit ended for good.

That’s one opinion.

Why is that their responsibility? I’m pretty rich, I earned it, not my job to take care of others. I get tired of people complaining about the rich. Hell Bezos put everything he had on the line working out of his garage to build his empire.

People need to stop asking what others can do for them and pull up their own fucking boot straps.

As far as those outside the USA, we don’t need to play world police or humanitarian north of the point where it serves our own interests.

By the way your clown earned both the electoral vote and the popular vote (even if just barely). How you like dem apples?

Eventually they will escape their miserable life, i’m sure. On their own, eventually.

It’s just that I think of myself as a citizen of the world, not just my country. Radical concept, I know. And if I can help someone by doing something that reduces my own level of comfort just a bit (as collective effort would) but helps them a lot, I will.

A fat old woman is slowly crossing the road, carrying two heavy bags of groceries. The contents of one spill on the road. I could just go: “screw her, let her pick up her own shit, she will eventually cross the road. Her own fault that she neglected her health and didn’t excercise, she could already be across the road by now. I’m already late to class, I won’t take the one minute to help her pick up her shit and help her cross. Fuck her.”

The Africans and others in a similar situation are trying. Some are lazy, as always, but trust me, most are fucking trying. It’s just rough. And it amazes me how opposed some people are to helping their fellow humans along just a bit.

Taking care of others doesn’t mean fucking doing everything for them. Just a little push will go a long way.

In my experience it’s the opposite but to each their own.

Give me some examples of your efforts and what successes resulted from those efforts. Please be specific.

Get off the internet and back on your meds.

Nobody has that much power or control over what I do or how I think.

Not even me.

Kidding, but not really. Jan 20th will be the same as Jan 19, just a tick further in our annual lap around the sun.
Just like the 21st, 22nd and so on.

Big freakin continent. Last I looked they were chopping each other to pieces with machetes and gang raping females. :man_shrugging:t2:.

Oh boy. :man_facepalming:.

Philo 101, right?

In summation: calm the fuck down.

If we are going to be honest, we have a government that makes a habit of doing things to keep people down.

What are the Cliff’s Notes?

Philosophy? No, just something that i’ve always though to be common sense. We’re one fucking species, living on one planet where we’ve scribbled some bullshit lines to separate each other. That’s all it is.

Cliff’s notes are a series of notes made by Cliff.

Oooh, a riddle summarizing schizophrenic babbling. This will be a fun puzzle.

In this forum, i’m somehow not surprised that this would be considered a riddle.

I found it at the bottom of the page on the dictionary website where the definition of “Cliff’s notes” is written

There are more challenging puzzles there such as these which you might find fun

Deciphering your post for starters. If not Cliff’s Notes, can you at least bullet point the rambling to make it coherent and palatable for consumption?

Oh. Common sense, huh?

Good. Go live in some 3rd world toilet with a bunch of piranhas. You won’t be worried about who gets elected then.

And I think we’ve seen the whole playbook already.

That’s what the healthy part of my brain says to the fucked up part, but time and time again, it gets proved wrong.

Frisbee.
