Did you just say that Nicholas Cage swings both ways?

BTW, Woods is calling American men “pathetic.” That’s US (presumeably!) All I’m saying to James here, is “speak for yourself, you self-loathing idiot.”
He’s speaking of Hollywood and film casting. He has not called you out. Though at this point, you may as well start taking acting classes.
Sasquatch,
He makes the claim that “American men are pathetic.” He didn’t say “American male actors are pathetic.” He supported the claim with the evidence that ‘there are many Australian actors cast for “manly” roles.’

On a different note, somebody mentioned James Woods calling the kettle black. Have you seen John Carpenter’s Vampires? James Woods is the man in that film.
Have you read the book its based on? Compared to the character(s) in the book, his film character is a complete pussy.
And of course, the book is far better than the film.

Woods and his shitty argument suck.
“American men are pathetic—so they cast Australians.” In reading your posts I see your comprehension sucks so I thought I’d break it down to its basic concept for you.
Figure it out.
You’re ?argument? is stupid.
And for the record Wahlberg is great. The current Pacino/DeNiro type. Doesn’t get near enough credit for my money. He might have made MI/MI2/MI3 worth watching.
–Well, with a better story, and actresses, and direction…maybe not!
OK, your post CONTAINED a non-sequitur, if you prefer.
No it didn’t — at least not my first post. That whole Coulter rant? Now THAT was a non sequitir (which is still not hyphenated, oh stubborn one).
I disagree. The Aussies are not better looking than Americans. They are, however, more attractive which is not the same thing.
They are more attractive (i.e. eyecatching) because of the manly, confident manner in which they comport themselves. This is the same reason they get more H-wood roles.

This is what I responded to when I mentioned Statham and Bale. This person didnt say name an AMERICAN!
You are right. He did not say an AMERICAN but it was in context to the Woods comment, which I think would imply AMERICAN!
But I do think Bale & Statham are pretty bad ass (if you don’t count Crank against Statham)
What was wrong with Crank? That shit was funny as Hell. He definitely wasn’t a pussy in it. I mean, he only killed like 10 people, but…

Yeah, same here. I really liked that movie, it was fucking hilarious and watching him nail Smart bent over that newspaper box was classic. Sure there were some probs and all but still a good watch.
“Real American” men are working “real American” jobs.
Acting is for attention hungry softies who’re too scared to do anything legitimate.
The movie industry has to rely on Aussies becuase all the true blue American guys are too busy being productive.
If American Men are pathetic, then why are studios training Aussies to lose their accent in order to “play American” on the big screen? Why don’t they just make movies about Aussie action stars?
For the record, Wallberg is good and getting better. “Four Brothers” changed my opinion of him for sure.

“Four Brothers” was a horrid excuse of a movie in my opinion. My ten year old nephew loved it, but he’s pretty much into that thug MTV vibe at this point. The only movie I ever thought Marky Mark was marginally good in was “The Basketball Diaries”. However, that new movie where he tries out for the Jets looks like it might be good.

The Eagles you mean, and it’s Disney so who knows. They did have a good sports movie in “The Greatest Game Ever Played” so we’ll see.
As for Four Brothers, the movie was ok, but it’s the first film where I actually paid attention to Wallbergs’ performance and came away from it impressed.

“four Brothers” was ok. He has stoodout in most of the movies he’s made in the last 1 years. That movie where he was the psycho older boyfriend he was really good. All of DeNiro’s movies weren’t great, but that doesn’t discount his ability.

How does being right on the money make him an idiot? As an American, did he make you feel emasculated?
BTW, you getting all bent out of shape by his comments only proves his point. Now who’s the idiot?
You were flat-out wrong about everything else, i.e. he wasn’t right on the money. And your question about me was stupid.
But the non-sequitur was about me getting bent out of shape. There wasn’t any “bent out of shape.” I just stated the obvious.
Dude, you’re still responding to my first post 5 hours ago?! If you’re not “bent out of shape”, then what are you? At the very least you’re just bent.
Now you see, an Aussie would’ve already forgotten about my first post and moved on by now. He’d be downing some Fosters or throwing some shrimp on the barbie. Maybe even tossing the ol’ boomerang around.
Crikey! You need to relax, man. Stress is a killer. Stretch-out for a while. Maybe put some Brokeback Mountain or something in the DVD player. It’ll loosen you up.

Can you back that up with anything other than your belief?
He’s married - yeah I know, so was Elton John, but I’ve never seen anything about Jackman being a poof.

This acting we are talking about, “let’s pretend.” The end goal is entertainment. You got a high school drama boy making fun of other highschool drama boys, saying he likes high school drama boys from australia when it comes to playing lets pretend.
How is acting tough being tough?
A guy with frosted hair and waxed brow might be a mean mother under the right circumstance. You just dont know how tough someone is until the push comes. A person can express pussyness in one instance and bravery in the next.
Anyone who wants an explaination of the male primping should read “the mating mind” by miller.
