Jake's Road to Bodybuilding

Amazin!

Looked pretty easy as well although it’s hard to see with the sucky angle.

Strong prussing. I too am looking to jack my military press up, its such a bitch of a lift to get moving. [/quote]

I’ve always found that it needed fairly low reps, and a bit of cheating to extend the set.

Good job.

Get back from Ibiza, pull 3x BW. Simple.

Knocked it outa the park. nice job. now i have to catch back up dman you

I almost LOL’d @ “Fuck yeah”. Nice work bro.

Thanks guys! The pull was 2.62x BW @ 191.6lb / 86.9kg

I would literally have to hit well over 3x BW to hit any sort of record over here in the fed I want to compete. BDFPA (British Drug Free Powerlifting) record for a 20-23 year old 198’er is 280kg / 619… that said, I’m thinking by the time I’m above 95kg I could potentially be pulling 550+ and make it down to that class.

In that class records for Bench is 170kg 374lb, squat is 221kg / 487lb. I have almost 3 full years before I can’t compete in the class though, so whilst I don’t really expect to break any, being a hell of a lot closer is a big goal. 100kg class would be even harder, of course.

Trained in my home gym. Decent session. Pressing felt strong/pain-free. Got a video of military/push press, will up it tomorrow.

Solid military prussing, will have to try catch you on that one!

Nice PRs on shoulder day man. How’s everything been going?

This is a big fucking transformation. Remember talking to you a couple years ago here. You look manly as fuck for 21. No homo.

@phlegms: I’m hoping hitting my shoulder strength hard will help my bench pruss! Hitting 91kg x 1 push press should indicate I can bench more then 105kg now… I hope.

@Austin: Thanks man. Things are good! Basically finished University, just got an exam on Thursday to contend with. Training going well even though I’m not pushing for weight gain till next month. In 13 days I will be in Ibiza parting hard! So generally pretty good.

@Voeoe: Hey man, remember chatting. Really appreciate that, there are quite a few guys on here who have made better progress then myself, but I’ve been edging away at it and hoping in another year or so I will have finally built some sort of “base size/strength”. Hope your training hard!

^^lol… But I agree.

Goin H.A.M. In this log! Sick deadlift my man… Really nice work.

Ton of progress made in the last 10 months in this log, awesome work. I’m also a big fan of how you list both KG’s and lb’s, so thank you sir.

Last deadlift PR looked EZ, you’ll smash that soon.

@greg: Thanks man! I had to google it- as H.A.M as I’m going now hopefully my progress should take off from next month when I “bulk”

@gmoore: Damn! It’s been 10 months, that’s crazy. I really appreciate the comments even though I feel like this is still pretty much beginner level strength/size wise for me, looking forward to really pushing some weight gain and seeing where I can take things by the end of this year.

^ Fancied shrugging heavy for once. Felt real good. No leaning forward/totally power shrugging so Default PRs for form. Will probably keep up heavy shrugging and get the poundages real high.

Nice rows dawg.

Good stuff as always mayne, keep on trucking!

lol, it always takes my brain a second to adjust to a pure bodybuilding arms day before I can read it properly. Good stuff bodybolda Jake.

@phlegms: Fully intend to, the trucking has barely begun.

So I’ve finished my University education… this did mean I spent last night having a little vodka and squatting today was somewhat impacted. Under normal circumstances I would want at least 7 reps at that weight… so I’ll let 4 slide this once.

As I said last week… situation from now means “time for lots of lifting, eating and womens this summer.” Exciting times in my life. Looking forward to taking this all to the next level.

Congratulations on finishing your educations. Now it’s just a shame you don’t want to use it for anything
