No, Boll wasn’t involved with Silent Hill. It does seem like he’s involved with all of them though, especially if it’s bad.

I agree that Silent Hill wasn’t very good, but it did have a good look and feel to it though.

Boll just sucks. He sounds like an arrogant prick from all the things I’ve read about him.

As far as good video game movies, I had high hopes for Spy Hunter, but it sounds like it’s in pre-production hell.

I’m racking my brain trying to think of a good video game based movie I’ve seen. EDIT: Hitman was okay, but I can’t think of any others.

Besides Prince of Persia, is anyone else aware of any upcoming game based movies?

I actually haven’t watched Hitman yet… Only heard bad stuff about it, though (with the exception of one of the female characters, it appears).

None of the movies ever really got the atmosphere of the games across, either… People should stop trying to do their own thing, take the original characters, storyline and art style and such and go with that, maybe developing the story further…

They never manage to do a good job when trying to change things there, so why keep on doing it ?

Aren’t the game designers getting pissed off or anything?

But yeah, he’s put on some weight. Not a life altering transformation, but bigger.

As for getting a Persian to do it: no star power + he looks Persian enough. Persian =/= Arab (people tend to forget that). A little tanning and some CGI and he’ll look fine.

Now his voice, THAT is going to be the big issue with me. He can act OK, nothing great, but the way his voice sounds will probably make or break the entire character. I can’t imagine the Prince as a tenor…
