I think someone joined the boards by mistake after reading the title of this thread.

Yeah, you’ll probably still get ‘excepted’.
oh really i was hoping to get accepted.
It’s bad form to go back and edit your original post after the mistake is pointed out.
It was just a typo. I fixed it so that other people wouldn’t make an asshole post like you did.
You used the wrong word. That’s not a typo and it’s not the only mistake you made. You haven’t gone back and fixed the rest of your post.
If you don’t think people aren’t going to notice stuff like that and point it out, then you apparently haven’t been paying much attention to these forums.
You first mistake was starting this misleading thread in the first place.

I did use the wrong word. I thought this was mainly a bodybuilding forum? Not an english class. Sometimes I make mistakes forgive me. Though I do admit that the title name is misleading that’s my fault. I guess if I wanted serious answers I shouldn’t have done that. But, anyway I just wanted some feedback, because I really respect most of the people here.

I didn’t try to steal a car. I went around opening car doors that were already opened and took anything worth taking. I had Just turned 19, people make mistakes… don’t tell me you haven’t

Yeah people make mistakes but this isn’t like forgetting your mom’s b-day. So just turning 19 is an excuse to act like a fucktard? Too bad you weren’t convicted of a felony then you could of been forced to stay away from the nicer parts of society…don’t fuck up your 2nd chance.
I came here for something else
Was it a felony?

It’s not an excuse. I thought at the time that I could walk on water. But because of that of what happened I’ve learned my lesson. After I complete probabtion my record should be cleared but I’m not sure if my arrest will still show.
Did you learn your lesson because you got caught and suffered the consequences. Or are you sorry because you realize that stealing from people is fucking low?
Either way, you do seem to be sorry and that should deserve some respect.

I’ve made mistakes, but none more dishonorable than resorting to stealing. That’s a basic, fundamental wrong in life. Why would anybody want to steal?

I’ve got no excuses of why I wanted to steal. I understand it’s bad and I guess I was just with a bad group of friends… either way it was my bad choice. I admit I did wrong and I feel bad for what I did. Do you think I should be penalized for the rest of my life for the mistake I made? I for one have changed completely. I’m just looking for some info to get me in the right direction. I want to make something of myself, that’s all.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
What was the charge exactly. Larceny? Doesn’t matter - it’s a felony. Not all cases can be “expunged” or sealed. Contrary to popular belief it is not something that happens over the passage of time. You must file a petition with the court for Expungment.
Too bad you didn’t get this wild hair up your ass when you were a juvenile. Tsk.
This, or other site like it should answer most of you questions.

7 years no need to worry
most states you dont need to disclose felonys after 7 years some states its 10
if its a felony then ya it will show up no mater what BS the courts tell you.
should have pleaded down to a misdemeaner then alot of times you wouldnt have to disclose that.
but yes it will show up,arrest records do not only convictions. but you were convicted because you recived a sentence.
like me,I have been arrested countless times, spent time in jail but I have a perfectly clean record because I was never convicted of anything.so I always answer NO
you would have to give details and dates though
just curiouse… how’d you get caught? car alarm? nosy neighbors?

NICE!
It’s called a Pardon. Check out the time requirements and apply at the appropriate time.
I hope you really have changed man. 19 isn’t that young though. I’d be suprised if you somehow developed good morals since then.

Well the judge himself told me that after my probation was complete that I can put NO when asked if I’ve ever committed a felony because I’m a first offender and IF I complete probation which I will, then My record will be cleaned… but like you said 7-10 years, does that mean employers won’t be able to see this?
