Cycle update. About 4 weeks in. I’m up to right about 180. Evenings can be as much as 184, and rarely see lower than 179 on the mornings. Looks like us should finally make it to 185!
Way to go brother, keep digging!
The part of this story that is most inspirational to me is this: the difference between that skinny dude and that jacked dude? It’s not the drugs, it’s the dedication to diet and training. If you showed that before and after to new members they’d figure that with a few cycles they could look like that. But the work wasn’t done by the drugs, it was done in that one square foot of real estate on top of your shoulders. It’s nice to be reminded of that from time to time.
Nice comment man. I always see people making excuses that if they took what strong people take then they could be like that too. The unfortunate truth is that they probably couldn’t be like that even taking an entire pharmacy because drugs don’t make the improvement - training and mindset do (and nutrition, of course). I could see how drugs might be necessary in the case of a person with severely messed up hormones or maybe some sort of genetic abnormality, but it seems like anyone who is big / strong / lean / fast / etc. has trained really hard regardless of other factors.
Psychologically speaking, it does seem much easier to blame failure on genetics and a lack of PEDs than poor nutrition, inconsistent training, and laziness haha
Yeah a lot of hard work and sweat went into my change. I appreciate the kind words. Test has. Absolutely helped me put on size but the conditioning is 100% consistency and dedication to diet. Hope your doing well @iron_yuppie
While hard work, diet, and dedication are hands down the biggest factor, I’m learning that genetics are huge too. Take my brother for example. He can look at a taco and gain 10 lbs. I’m the opposite. Once I hit around 15% body fat I have to eat absurd quantities to gain any weight. I can see how many who aren’t naturally lean would get really frustrated with training.
Beginners think that putting on some muscle makes you ripped, where in reality if you have some muscle it all comes down to how lean you are.
