I disagree with this point. If you’re going for PRs, focus on what you’re doing; and at the very most do antagonistic assistance exercises. So, Squats can be paired with Upper Body Push/Pull exercises, and Bench and Press can be paired with stuff like Chins. I may be saying this because I haven’t built up the work capacity to do these yet, but it’s worked for me, haha. If your program calls for it, that’s one thing. But for something where you’re focusing on hitting Rep PRs, do the ab work at home. Buy an Ab Wheel and do Planks. The shit takes like 10 minutes. I’ve also noticed a carryover from ab stuff to my main lifts.
Fellas, fellas
I almost always do my ab work, it’s not an issue ![]()

People that look like this (that are capable of grinding out an astonishing, good morning-esque 215 x 4 Squat) will call you a pussy for doing mobility work and direct ab work. Just a friendly reminder that band pull-aparts and ab wheels save lives.
Dude…you have a propensity for getting injured. How? I mean, you do enough mobility work for us both.
Yeah, what even is injury? I think some people are just more prone to it.
It’s the same recurring issues. Right hip flexor (old tear), left Glute Medius (old strain) and left and right hamstring instertion (god knows what)
Those same things have been bugging me since I was about 15. I have had other injuries, yes, but those four love to come and bug me.
Just having a think, I’m wondering if it has something to do with caloric deficit, as I only seem to get hurt when I’m dieting down.
Granted, it’s not a perfect comparison as my conditioning work always jumps way up when I try to cut up, so that extra (lower body) stress probably also has something to do with that.
Stop being in a deficit then ![]()

Just kidding.
I’m on holiday for a lot of December. The plan is to come back, spend a few weeks on damage control and then Boring But Big until June or July
перестать находиться в дефиците, тогда.
Very nice. How long till you start uni/ what uni you going to/have you applied/ been accepted etc?
Sounds good
Different unis have different start dates, all around March.
Out of all the unis I’ve applied to, so far I’ve only recieved interviews for UNE, University of Newcastle and the University of Adelaide. That’s alright though, because UWA, UQ, USC, Griffith University, Sydney University and The University of Melbourne don’t conduct interviews for med-school applicants.
My interviews take place over the next week and a half, then I’ll be receiving my other offers in mid-January.
Goodluck man
Cheers mate
@j4gga2 good luck in college big guy. Squat 315 for me before you graduate.
stop sucking at eating. Even Jim Wendler had to gain weight.
Graduate high school? Already done mate
.
If I do get into med school I’ll have 3-7 years to become what I describe as ‘the most jacked junior doctor in all of Australia’
Really, if you compare me to most people going through med schools, that can’t be all that hard ![]()
