I do sometimes worry people think I’m lifting in lbs, but pointing out the units every session would just smack of insecurity or more vanity than I have

Now I feel bad…

(In my defence someone questioned it at the beginning of my log and it seemed to be sensible to help newcomers to figure out that I’m using the globally accepted unit of measurement)

Oh don’t misunderstand me, it’s not the having units that’s the issue, it’s suddenly adding them when I haven’t done that historically. I certainly don’t think that when other people’s logs have units, I just know that’s the only reason I’d be putting them in mine.

Or pride in lifting in units of this millennium? LOL actually I thought you were lifting in lbs for a long time then saw one of your lifts and was like thats a lot of plates for that many pounds…

I always just assumed everyone lifted in Kilos ha. I feel like lb and oz is a very foreign concept to anyone under 70years old in the UK.

That was a doozy. Couldn’t get a platform, so was squatting in one of the racks with the rubber floor tiles. Coming up on 220 the floor was moving all over the place, had to take a massive step back halfway up and ended the rep as a split squat. Was supposed to go 230 after, and feel like I had the strength. So no official PB, but some training validation on squats at last.
